Damulira is one of the hundreds of our people who are still under illegal detention. His family is in great distress. His businesses have since stopped working. This is a reminder to all of us not to stop or backtrack until the dignity of the people of Uganda is restored.

Today, we visited the two homes of John Damulira, a 50 year old man who was abducted last year in November by the military. Mzee Damulira worked at Kisekka market. At the height of the abductions that rocked the nation last year, he was taken away by heavily armed military men.

Earlier today, we went to Kigo Government prison to check on our detained MPs, Ssegirinya Muhammad and Allan Ssewanyana. We found them in high spirits although sickly and frail after they were violently arrested and tortured. We continue to demand for their unconditional release.

A catholic priest urged people to vote change and condemned human rights abuses. A thief was recently caught stealing his car and taken to police. The alleged thief was found dead in police custody. Now the priest has been charged with murder. The price of fighting dictatorship!
