Our @NUP_Ug USA leaders headed by Cde. Daniel Kawuma had a productive meeting with US State Dep't on upcoming US-Africa Summit. They raised concerns about invitation to dictators from Africa, including Museveni, and highlighted deteriorating human rights situation in Uganda.

Thank you, MP @KlinkJan. Respect for human rights, democracy and the rule of law must be a precondition for Development Cooperation. twitter.com/KlinkJan/statu…

1 month since Kavuma Jamushid's abduction, authorities haven't provided information on his whereabouts or condition. His abduction's another example of ongoing repression & violence against dissenters in #Uganda. We demand immediate release of Kavuma & all political prisoners.

Congratulations, Morocco, upon progressing to the World Cup Quarter Finals! Africa is Very Proud of You Tonight!

World Cup 2022: Africa United behind Morocco - the last man standing. #MoroccoSpain

Day well spent in Marrakech, Morocco for the #RenewPac Annual conference. We are meeting with leaders from the Liberal Parties. We hope to use this opportunity to network and reinforce our message to the EU and all its Member States - stop funding our oppression. @RenewEurope

Under Gen. Museveni, a considerable number of journalists have been tortured & killed. Many are in exile. Media houses have been raided or shut down. Guess what? His thoughtless, brutal son thinks that's nothing & promises to crush them "when he comes to power"! Our task is clear

No wonder some of our hospitals have long turned into death traps for M7's opponents! Imagine being rushed to hospital and put in the hands of one of those so called doctors.

So where are my guns now? The shamelessness of dictatorships! twitter.com/MwesigyeWalter…

No matter how evil a regime is, there will always be a small clique of 'elites' benefitting from its corruption and will do anything stupid for the regime to survive. Fortunately, such despicable actions can never save any despot! The elite who sang for Mobutu come to mind.
311
I wish you a successful reign, comrade Dangote. The challenges ahead may be many but I know that you will have the fortitude to surmount them. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople
312
We interacted with comrade Alionzi Lawrence 'Dangote,' President-elect of Makerere University's Students' Guild. I commended him for remaining steadfast and uncompromising on the values that unite us in @NUP_Ug even when regime elements tried to subvert the students' will.
313
Oh well, here we go!
314
I also encouraged parents to value, and not discriminate against children with physical disabilities. We were treated to very good entertainment by some of the comrades from the fraternity.
315
They still face challenges like discrimination, lack of proper health facilities, accessibility impediments, challenges in education, etc. We renewed our manifesto commitments to their plight in all sectors. The regime's paid lip service to their welfare, which must be reversed.
316
The NUP has today celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with our sisters and brothers from the fraternity of PWDs. We hosted several of them at our headquarters and used the occasion to raise awareness about the plight of these fellow citizens.
317
Our own comrade Alionzi Lawrence aka Dangote, all the way from Arua (West-Nile) was decisively elected 88th Guild President of Makerere University. Thank you Gallant Makerereans for rejecting the regime's blackmail and trusting this brother. Congratulations✊🏾 May you serve well.
318
As power is off nationwide, be sure the regime is abducting our people in darkness! So remain vigilant, comrades. Keep around a group of people if possible. Unless it's urgent, do not go out. These are NOT normal times.
319
You can imagine the pain this mother is going through after the abduction of her teenage son! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople
320
We also spoke about the ongoing claims of attacks and insecurity. I called upon our people to be vigilant; we know about the bijambiya murders and how the regime implicated NUP MPs We must be vigilant as long as these rebels are still illegally in charge of our country.
321
There can be no sane discussion about anything else, when we don't even have a right to exist! It was very difficult seeing mothers and sisters of abducted comrades crying for help! The cries of our people will never be in vain!
322
We called upon the international community not to look on as these crimes against humanity are committed. I tasked all NUP leaders to rise to the occasion and prioritise this matter which touches the lives of our people.
323
Today, we addressed the nation about the present crisis in our country! Hundreds of Ugandans are abducted each day and taken to unknown destinations where they are subjected to horrendous forms of torture, while others have died in those illegal detention centers.
324
The Tayebwas should not be fooled by the false sense of safety their offices give them into believing that they are insulated from the very injustice they are promoting. None of us is safe unless all of us are! #BringBackOurPeople #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners
325
Mr. Tayebwa and other enablers of these human rights violations must know that what they call 'drama' is affecting real lives and destroying families out there.
