Criminals putting on police uniform murdered our comrade Ritah Nabukenya. We demanded for the CCTV footage after police tried to deny responsibility. Now they say the cameras were faulty! The blatant lack of shame! We must stop at nothing to demand that justice is delivered. twitter.com/DailyMonitor/s…

For the second time, last night explosives were again thrown at my residence and exploded! No one hurt but property damaged...

Her Petition highlights the fact that whereas the Judicial Service Commission ignored complaints we filed in March 2021 against the Chief Justice for his disgraceful conduct, a complaint he secretly made against her months later was fast-tracked and determined against her!

... and Nasiif Najja are now detained at the Central Police Station in Kampala. I commend the Speakers for highlighting the plight of political prisoners in Uganda. I also condemn the security forces' disproportionate use of force and illegal blocking of lawful protests.

And so like that, Joseph Kabuleta, former journalist, was kidnapped & taken into custody over facebook posts that are offensive to President Museveni. Calling him a gambler, thief and liar! Apparent move to silence all critics- esp those bold enough to expose his evil schemes.

They told us how they were severely tortured, while being asked about the usual questions of what NUP is plotting. I'm glad to see that despite the brutal treatment received in those torture chambers, these comrades are still firm regarding the cause.

At first they claimed all armoured vehicles must be cleared by the Ministry of Defence but there was no law to support their ridiculous claim. They moved and sacked, demoted or persecuted staff who did their job & cleared the vehicle, accusing them of not revealing it was my car!

I encourage those of us who are able, to use this season to reach out to those who are less fortunate & give them a hand- the hungry & thirsty, the homeless & sick, the destitute & prisoners. We give not because we have a lot, but because we know how it feels to have nothing.

We later paid a quick visit to Father Denis Mayanja in Kitovu, an ardent advocate for peace and justice and the author of a soon to be launched revolutionary book titled #PeoplePower. May God grant him a long life and good health.

It's regrettable that the regime continues to selectively apply the law against the poor & those w/out connections' while sparing & protecting the rich, regime officials & their agents in private business encroaching on wetlands and reclaiming lakes across with untold impunity.

Thank you comrades, please don't let up on the pressure as it is through such actions that we get closer to freedom! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople #WeAreRemovingaDictator

When Yasin Kawuma was shot dead in Arua, UPDF claimed that our group carried out the murder. To date they have never arrested or prosecuted anybody. The country is also aware of the contradictory statements that former President of NUP Mzee Kibalama made in court after meeting..

We reminded ourselves of the huge task on our shoulders and the expectations of the people of Uganda in our leadership.

We owe it to ourselves to stand in solidarity with them! We hoped to assist many through the charity event, but the same people who refuse to help them frustrated that effort. Despite the setback, we shall still find ways of helping and I encourage all those with means to help.

As is our tradition, we shared scholastic materials with the children and extended support towards school fees. The criminal regime continues to cause pain to so many Ugandans, but I am convinced that they will reap what they have sown in abundance. It's only a matter of time.

@camanpour Get well soon Christiane! I hope you can fully recover and continue to inspire all of us with your courage and commitment.

There was an attempt to say he was killed by robbers, but the money he had on him was found intact. All circumstances point to a sinister motive. May God grant comfort to the his family. May we soldier on, until the mission he invested himself in, is finally accomplished.

...I must tell the whole world that lately I've been receiving death threats almost on a daily basis...

She sends greetings to all comrades in the struggle and encourages all of us to soldier on! I then went to the men’s prison and visited several comrades who are being held on ridiculous charges- including several of them who have been arrested for putting on red berets.

I congratulate and thank President Lungu for affording his nation a peaceful transition. It takes decency and character for a leader to graciously accept an election defeat and bow to the will of the people. You have set an example which should be emulated by other leaders.

Before the visitors left, he asked to lead them in singing "Tuliyambala Engule" and made a solemn prayer for our nation. He is as optimistic as ever that Uganda will be free! He returns to Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court tomorrow, at 10am. Admin.
