I thank the Women League of @NUP_Ug and all of you citizens who are joining in the condemnation against not just what happened to Marinos, but also the systematic violation of the most basic rights of citizens by dictator Museveni’s regime. #WeAreRemovingADictator

Today 7.09.2022 marks 1 year since our comrades Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad & Hon. Allan Ssewanyana were remanded to prison on bogus terrorism & murder charges. Initially, the 2 legislators were granted cash bail of UGX 20M each. They paid it but have never regained their freedom.

The only time protests are allowed in Uganda is when they're sponsored & organised for the Museveni regime! Last time, it was about US sanctions on Gen. Abel Kandiho. Now, against the EU Resolution on human rights violations! All other demonstrations are broken up with impunity!

Yesterday, there were by-elections in Busongola and other local gov'ts. What happened was sad but expected. Ballot stuffing, multiple voting, tampering with voters' register, etc. The two women were paid UGX 2,000 by some RDC to vote for the bus! They had the courage to speak out

This morning, ahead of my planned visit to Kayunga District to campaign for our flag bearer, the police and military deployed overnight around my home in an apparent attempt to block me from leaving. The cowardly regime is on its way out. A matter of time. #WeAreRemovingADictator

This is Ssesaazi Isma's brother. On 19th November 2020, Isma was abducted by soldiers from Makindye. This was during protests that ensued after I was arrested from a rally. Isma was abducted for supporting us. He has never been seen again. Where is Isma? #BringBackOurPeople

Today, the leadership of @NUP_Ug addressed the nation on the regime's handling of the COVID19 pandemic, characterised by gross corruption and mismanagement of public resources as highlighted by the Auditor General. We are making numerous proposals because Uganda deserves better

Spent the better part of today in Mityana, where I was godparent to Hon. Francis Zaake's son, Raymond. We thank God for this gift of a child to my brother, who has faced great adversity these past two years. May Raymond & our other children inherit a better country.

Scared to the core, Gen. Museveni has now turned guns on foreign nationals who he suspects support us. I've lost count of how many he has deported or declared persona-non-grata the last 3 years! Prov 28:1"The wicked run even when no one is chasing them." monitor.co.ug/uganda/news/na…

We also received comrade Yasin Busuwa, one of the thousands abducted in Nov 2020 and taken through grave torture. Dumped in Nakawa yesterday. Doing our best to to rehabilitate and get him treatment. One day, there will be accountability for these crimes against humanity.

We unequivocally dismiss Museveni's move to hold what he calls a 'scientific election', to yet again stage a coup & crown himself life President. We must have a free & fair election. We have advised him not to provoke the PEOPLE of Uganda! Full statement: facebook.com/130737598011/p…

After over a month after his abduction, Sadam Sadat was today driven out of Mbuya torture chambers, dumped at Kireka Police and charged with terrorism and then released on bond! Many of our missing comrades continue to languish in illegal military detention #BringBackOurPeople

No matter how evil a regime is, there will always be a small clique of 'elites' benefitting from its corruption and will do anything stupid for the regime to survive. Fortunately, such despicable actions can never save any despot! The elite who sang for Mobutu come to mind.

Humbling recognition from the African Young Leaders' Summit, 2019. I am grateful to all young leaders across Africa who selected me for this award. I dedicate it to all comrades and friends who sacrifice daily to see that Uganda and Africa get better. Aluta continua

Grateful to leaders of @NUP_Ug who addressed the nation about the ongoing murders in Greater Masaka, Karamoja, Kasese and parts of Wakiso. True to their usual script, the regime is desperate to implicate critical MPs in pursuit of their evil schemes. We shall overcome!
