As @nickopiyo spent the second night in detention, I was reminded of the hardships he endured (working with other lawyers), to get me out of military detention in 2018. Gen. Museveni can imprison our bodies, but he will never crush our thirst for justice & dignity for our people!

At many polling stations across the country, my votes were 'donated' to other candidates in order to cut my percentage. At this station, I polled 256 votes against Museveni's 47, but in their tally (ec.or.ug/2021-general-e…) all my votes went to John Katumba. I was given 0.0!

Today while our leaders addressed a press conference at our offices, these military 'mambas' came and parked at the gate, disruptng the peaceful event. Magere, Kamwokya and Busabala are full of military operatives, doing patrols while arresting many of our supporters.

It is 70 days since my entire campaign team was arrested in Kalangala for no crime! They were granted bail but were re-arrested and charged in a military court. These and thousands of our supporters in illegal detention must be released unconditionally.

The situation in Kampala! It is criminal for Gen. Museveni to continue treating peaceful Ugandans as criminals. Ugandans reserve the right to protest peacefully and unarmed. Museveni must stop intimidating the people!

For the 3rd time on the campaign trail, armed forces opened fire at our car and shot the tyres today. They do this to cut our speed, block us from reaching certain places, etc. My conviction is, no amount of intimidation can stop the yearning for change!

We're still held at a roadblock by the military & police. Although we have a radio show scheduled for 7:00pm in Moroto town, they are blocking us from accessing it. They've spent the whole day beating up our people, now won't allow us speak on radio!
