20/20 vision from @NesrineMalik: 'Brexit is spent, the economy is in shreds, the Tory party has imploded and there’s no one to blame.' theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

We've paused 'Wokewatch' because the only people still trying to turn 'woke' into a pejorative are Suella Braverman & your Uncle Bob's Facebook friends. We are instead launching 'Unhinged Headline' of the day' & this is the first winner. Email address to follow for nominations... twitter.com/mrjamesob/stat…

Tory MPs in the House of Commons are currently competing to say the most callous & dehumanising things about asylum-seekers. Benton takes the lead with this abomination, just a week & a day after a far-right British terrorist firebombed a similar facility. Disgusting & dangerous. twitter.com/AdamBienkov/st…

Good to see Boris Johnson at Cop27 desperately trying to save h̶i̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶e̶e̶r̶ the planet...

Johnson didn’t just normalise bullying, he defended & promoted it by leaving Patel in the Home Office & accepting Alex Allan’s resignation. It would’ve been such an easy win for Sunak to turn the page but, even *after* sacking Williamson, he’ll be covered in the same corruption.

Obviously, I didn’t *know* he was toast when I tweeted this but he was done well within the hour… twitter.com/mrjamesob/stat…

If you think Boris Johnson’s decision to give Gavin Williamson a knighthood was outrageous, wait until you see who he’s put/putting in the Lords…

Has anyone else ever left *three* separate governments in disgrace? Needs to be different Prime Ministers to qualify, obvs.

Anyway, back to the absolute disgrace of bringing Suella Braverman back in to the Cabinet six days after she was fired for gross misconduct…

Arrested, handcuffed & imprisoned for journalism. And yet when the Tory government seeks *more* powers to police peaceful protests, much of the media cheers them to the rafters… twitter.com/LBC/status/159…

One crucial point about PMQs is that the ebullience of your own benches is nowhere near as important as the moroseness of the other lot's. Textbook example here. twitter.com/BBCPolitics/st…

Absolute bollocks. They completely understood but thought they could somehow bullshit & bully their way to an alternative reality with the connivance of the right-wing media. And, for a while, they did. But here we are. twitter.com/DJBond6873/sta…

I suppose he could argue that the authors didn’t *believe* all the experts & well-informed people who explained exactly what would happen, but to argue that they didn’t ‘understand’ is truly pathetic. twitter.com/standardnews/s…

A bit surprised by the complete lack of schadenfreude at Trump finally being abandoned by Murdoch & falling apart in public. The number of still influential people in America & the UK who cheered on a blatantly dangerous & disgusting world leader remains absolutely terrifying.
