Netflix Japan has moved to AI quoting a "Labor Shortage", when they just laid off hundreds of animators and cut hundreds of animation projects.
#SupportHumanArtists is so important right now twitter.com/NetflixJP/stat…

“If you take away Ai/Ml then my dreams of being an artist are also being taken away”
I hate to break it to you but artists work because we can’t all live our dreams of animating or drawing our own stories. This is just life. We all have passion projects.

It came full circle, people are saying WE should be grateful for the EXPOSURE that AI/ML gives us.
So it really was at the end about stealing our work because no one believes artists should be paid fairly for our labor and years of training.

At the very beginning of AI/ML I said the one art job that will NEVER be affected is concept artist. If you havent worked as one, you will never truly know how much work actually goes into one design. twitter.com/JoelCHoltzman/…

So many people didn’t want to draw until the process because 100% automated for them and there is no drawing involved
Mmmyes I can see you’ve “always wanted to be creative”

“Oh what art is about money now?”
..it’s my job

I’ve been saying this for months.
Ai is a massive exploitation of artist
Like we have NEVER seen before
Please watch this lawyer talk about Ai

Truly the bottom line of this all:
WE DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO USE OUR ART IN AI

172
Ai has already gotten artists fired.
Ai is replacing begging lvl jobs in the industry making it so artists cant enter without being pro lvl already.
I see Ai on book covers, music videos, and indie games everywhere.
This is about not paying for art, when you can just steal it. twitter.com/theChrisDo/sta…

At the very beginning of Ai a business told me
“they always loved my covers, and now my costs are not a barrier for them to have nice covers like I draw”
I still think about what a slap in the face this is to me struggling for years to make a decent paycheck in art
174
I’ve noticed the ones that claim “I just want to create so I use Ai”.
Do not want to create. They want money, popularity, & followers.
Most artist do not care about follower counts, we just want to draw. No matter who will see or likes.
175
Artists have been far to kind for far to long
We have let companies, brands, music, authors share our artwork without credit & cropped signatures for a long time in fear of being called selfish
This created a culture that all art is public art for anyone to use.
It never was
