Hadrian's Villa, Tivoli, near Rome, Italy. Covering a location of 120 hectares, it was the biggest of all the roman imperial villa complexes. The building work took more than 10 years to finish.

Amber amulet in the shape of gladiator’s helmet. Place of origin: London. Date: about 1st-2nd century AD. Measuring just over 1cm across, the object was found amongst the remains of a demolished Roman building, together with large amounts of pottery and animal bone.

The Lascaux Caves are a complex of caves in southwestern France that is famous for its Paleolithic cave paintings. They contain 900 of the most perfect surviving examples of Upper Paleolithic art and are estimated to be 17.300 years old.
