8. Margaret Ng, a former legislator and well respected barrister. She is 73 and continues to campaign for a better judicial system in Hong Kong. Many political campaigners see her as a role model and the most powerful voice to preserve our values.

1. It's been a few months since I published "Freedom." There's been positive news for the book, including getting 2021 Foreword INDIES Gold Winner. I want to talk about why I wanted to write this introductory book for the HK protest movement and the moving reviews.

2. We clearly understand one point — if the international community cannot deter dictators from advancing their interests by war, democracy and peace will never prevail. It’s time to act and put the harshest sanctions over those culpable for the invasion.

With David Kramer, at 1045am EDT, I am sharing my first-hand experience of being politically persecuted in Hong Kong and the future of the democratic movement at the Sedana Forum. Stay tuned and register at thesedonaforum.org #StandwithHongKong

You are wrong about this. You are wrong about Taiwan issues. You have no idea about people's struggles, whose freedoms are threatened. You have no empathy for the Uyghurs in concentration camps and Ukrainians safeguarding their integrity with all they have. Shame. @rogerwaters twitter.com/rogerwaters/st…

From a student protest leader, the youngest elected legislator in Hong Kong, to a political prisoner and exiled activist … these all happened in my 20s. And this is the story I want to share. #Freedom is available in the US & Canada on 7th Dec. bit.ly/Freedom-Book

2. To utilize every opportunity to bring our voices to the world, I am sure that Hongkongers will support whoever from Hong Kong on the list, be it Edward Leung, @joshuawongcf, or other brave protesters.

3. Thus, I hope that my case can help the Home Office understand more about the complicated situation in Hong Kong. To free more protestors from Beijing’s authoritarian oppression, the Home Office could consider more comprehensive evidence when coping with Hong Kong cases.

An initiative of combating CCP authoritarian expansion is crucial. Glad to see more collaboration between the US and the EU, to curb the strategic threats imposed by CCP. EU proposes new post-Trump alliance with U.S. in face of China threat – FT reut.rs/2VeJtLw

I worked in the Esports industry for awhile couple years ago. Gaming should be inspiring and liberating people.Banning a player for their words supporting HK is just an utter shame. @Blizzard_Ent is setting a really bad example kowtowing to China. #StandWithHongKong

Attending #Time100 summit with my first #freedomshoe, designed and produced by Tibetan activist Khenzom. It combines our support for Ukraine and Hong Kong, and opposition against dictatorships. Hope leaders in this community can be more prepared to defend democracy. @annakwokfy

2. In any case, these sickening individuals have not deterred my support of the pro-democracy resistance in Hong Kong. The pursuit of justice and human rights shall persist despite all risks.

3. We also discussed #China's broader strategy to tighten the grip on Hong Kong and its future challenges in the global arena. I specifically highlighted the opposition camp's successful primaries held earlier this month, in which more than 600,000 people cast their votes.

4. Amid Beijing’s authoritarian expansion, this honor also reminds us of our shared destiny. Under its expansionist nature, China is now posing enormous threats to democracies. I hope the world can stay united to safeguard our shared democratic values.

2. Then, just before touching touch some 12 hours later, I saw buildings of varying heights beneath a cloudless sky. In this strange land, I began planning for the life ahead of me. There remains so many uncertainties.

Plus a huge internet wall.

4. While Hong Kongers' fight for freedom continues, I noted that Beijing is busy making plans to meddle in September's Legislative Council elections, almost certainly by once again disqualifying candidates it deems unacceptable so they won't appear on the ballot.

7. Let's not forget who are arrested. Denise Ho, a Hong Kong canto-pop diva who has been very vocal on LGBTQI rights and social justice. She could have lived a prosperous and fancy life if she had stayed silent. But she didn't. Wealth cannot buy out one's faith and values.

2. Building international support is critical in holding China accountable for its gross human rights violations. Going forwards, I will be working with allies in New Zealand politics to press for greater support for the Hong Kong democratic movement. Stay tuned. - END
