I am still very worried about my dearest friend Agnes Chow, who is still in prison and suffering from political suppression. Hope that the governments in democratic countries can put more effort to pressure the Chinese regime to release political prisoners in Hong Kong. twitter.com/nathanlawkc/st…

A verdict does not bring justice, but at least it is not denied once again. There's a long road ahead to eliminate injustice — it may take forever. Yet, as long as we resist, we defend our dignity as human beings. The voice of the suppressed must be heard.

#FactCheck What I have done in HK: 🏴Led peaceful protests in 2014, jailed for it in 2017 🗳Elected as youngest parliamentarian at age 23 in 2016 ✊Demanded accountability from CCP 🚨Countered disinformation campaigns None of these are criminalized in the UK. Esp the last one. twitter.com/globaltimesnew…

I was not embarrassed — the CCP just cant read human emotions as an inhumane regime. Mr. Gao was embarrassing and shaming himself by showing poor manners, disregarding the discussion topic and spreading misinformation about the court case. It's just hilarious. #StandwithHongKong twitter.com/globaltimesnew…

CCP mouthpiece promoted misinformation in a UK program and being busted. He was enraged when he realized his smearing attack did not work. Civility vs barbarity — that’s the difference between democracy and autocracy. Video: BBC Newsnight #StandwithHongKong

shocking to witness BJ mouthpiece Victor Gao’s ill-temper and spread of misinformation. He tried to smear me with the CCP propaganda and depict the 8.18 rally as a violent one, when all parties in court agreed that it was peaceful. He is just shameless. bbc.co.uk/programmes/p09…

Mr.Gao once again showing his ignorance, poor manner and distributing misinformation on a BBC show, which is banned in China. Typical Beijing mouthpiece quality. twitter.com/BBCNewsnight/s…

An appalling fact: After being sentenced in total for 14 months in two cases, there are still one National Security Law charge and four criminal charges pending on Jimmy Lai. The judicial system is weaponized to persecute democratic activists in Hong Kong. #StandwithHongKong

"This is the last interview of Jimmy Lai as a free man." It's saddening to see Jimmy Lai wept when he talked about the fear of suppression on his family. Many activists in Hong Kong are jailed today, once again, for participating in peaceful rallies. bbc.co.uk/news/world-asi…

Honoured to meet with the Acting High Commissioner for Canada in the UK @stefaniebeck19 at the #Canadahouse. The civil society from Hong Kong continues to engage with the world and speak up for our democratic struggles. We never give up. #StandwithHongKong twitter.com/stefaniebeck19…

The world should recognize more of the effort from @iingwen on leading Taiwan to tackle the pandemic and promote democracy, not hindering these important recognitions. twitter.com/politico/statu…

In tandem with the latest BNO welcome package, the UK government has been demonstrating its commitment to the joint declaration's obligation. I will continuously speak up for Hong Kong and am always available for advice to the government and civil society. #StandwithHongKong🏴 twitter.com/DominicRaab/st…

4. Last but not least, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported and advised me, and I hope that every Hongkonger, no matter where you are, is safe. -END

3. Thus, I hope that my case can help the Home Office understand more about the complicated situation in Hong Kong. To free more protestors from Beijing’s authoritarian oppression, the Home Office could consider more comprehensive evidence when coping with Hong Kong cases.

1. After several interviews in 4 months, the Home Office has informed me that my asylum application is approved. The fact that I am wanted under the National Security Law shows that I am exposed to severe political persecution and am unlikely to return to Hong Kong without risk.
399
2. My situation, however, may not apply to all Hong Kong asylum seekers. Some may not have enough evidence to substantiate their claims due to lack of media reports or fleeing before the persecution. Fears over their claims being denied, most of them live in distress and anxiety.
