Never forget how the Hong Kong police terrorized and assaulted citizens two years ago. Full-geared special force rushed to the station and attacked passengers indiscriminately. Many were severely injured, yet no officers are held accountable. It's an eternal scar in HKers' heart.

3. Beijing is using the pretext of "terrorism" to frame and suppress all grievances and opposition directed towards the government. Following the imprisonment of legislators and the forced dissolution of the major civil society groups, students are the next to be targeted.

2. They have suffered so much as a result of a Student Union motion. In the motion, they have offered their condolences to a person who stabbed a police. That may not be appropriate, but that's definitely not "advocating terrorism." It's way below the threshold.

1. Let me tell you what has happened to Hong Kong's top university students, who were charged with "advocating terrorism," and you will realize how dictatorial Hong Kong has become. Bails are denied and they could face years in prison.

Thank you @BritishVogue for featuring my story as #MrVogue in the #Septemberissue. We need to call for larger accountabilities to authoritarian governments and protect democratic values as global democracy dwindles. Hope that my story can spark more action. #StandwithHongKong

While China's actively making friends with Taliban, HKG is arresting students for "advocating terrorism" because of their speeches. How sarcastic it is. Four Hong Kong students arrested for ‘advocating terrorism’ theguardian.com/world/2021/aug…

The CCP is one of the most racist regimes. They persecute ethnic minorities and adopt cultural cleansing policies. It's weird that some of the most vocal racial justice advocates miss this point. twitter.com/EmilyZFeng/sta…

Football has many sides. One is about competition, one is connection. Though I am not competitive, I played football in a few countries. Teammates with diversity are instantly connected. A common language and joys are shared. I love this side of football, not the one with hatred.
