Normally, it is not possible to enter the Chief Chilly Challenge extra course in Super Mario 64 DS as Yoshi. However, bringing Yoshi to the Chief Chilly battle through the use of hacks or glitches reveals that Chief Chilly has special unused dialogue for this occasion.

Illustration of Mario and Luigi from the cover of Issue 80 of NextGen magazine, 2001.

Bowser riding on his personal shooting star, from the Japanese Super Mario Story Quiz Picture Book 6: Friend Kidnapped.

Artwork made in Mario Paint depicting a Yoshi-colored T. rex, from Nintendo Power's official guide for Mario Paint.

In Mario Kart 7, Luigi's regular model (left) has a subtle smile, while his low-polygon model (right), visible only from a distance, has a more pronounced smile.

In the first battle against Bowser in Super Mario RPG, refusing to listen to Princess Toadstool's advice to "aim for the chain" twice in a row will result in Bowser saying "What a joke!! Put some muscle into it!" and all further damage against him being reduced to 0.

Real-life recreations of the different types of cookies from Yoshi's Cookie, seen in the Japan-only "With Yoshi", a book about Yoshi games and merchandise.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga contains an unused background in its files that uses graphics from Wrecking Crew for the NES. I have superimposed a battle scene from the game onto the background to showcase what it may have looked like in-game.
360
Yoshi's unobscured overworld sprites from Super Mario World/Super Mario Advance 2. These can normally never be seen in-game as Mario or Luigi are always riding Yoshi and partially covering him, but are actually saved separately from Mario and Luigi's sprites in the data.
361
Cartridge art for "Super Wonderful Mario", an unauthorized hack of Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Famicom. The game is mostly identical with the biggest change being that all occurrences of the word "Mario" in text are replaced with "Merio".
362
Frames of a Big Tail Goomba attacking in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Note that while sprites are regularly distorted for "smear frames" in this manner, the multiple eyes are an uncommon stylistic choice for the series.

Earlier today, I have made a Tweet that due to a technical issue, did not contain an image and had to be deleted. Below is an explanation of the situation along with the Tweet as it was intended to be presented.

Every mismatched sprite from the "Connect the Characters" minigame in Super Mario 64 DS.

Whenever the playable Luigi looks at a point of interest in Super Mario Galaxy, his shoulder becomes dislocated. Modifying the game to view Luigi's skeleton, we can see this irregularity affects the skeleton model, as well.

Left: Bowser's hurt sprite from Super Mario World. Right: the same sprite from the game's Game Boy Advance remake, Super Mario Advance 2. As you can see, Bowser's arms have been recolored, he has been given extra fingers, and his mouth was made to open slightly more.

In Yoshi's Island, it is impossible to see the sprite of Yoshi entering a door without Baby Mario obscuring his back unless severe glitches that may corrupt the cartridge are used. I have taken rare existing footage and recreated it with Green Yoshi using extracted sprite parts.

1993 print ad for the Church of England. Unfortunately this low-resolution scan from Electronic Gaming Monthly appears to be the only available image of it.

The title screen of Super Paper Mario is the only time the game depicts Luigi's hair that is normally covered by his cap (left). During normal gameplay, Luigi has no hair under his cap, which can be seen by unloading the cap sprite (right).

The texture used for the "Mario Kart" banner at the starting lines of tracks in Mario Kart 64 contains chromatic aberration, an optical effect present in some photographs that manifests as fringes of color along boundaries. It is the only texture in the game with that effect.
371
The SNES version of Yoshi's Cookie contains a sprite of a Boo with a smug expression that is always partially obscured. I have attempted to create a clear version of the sprite using all available references; however, part of the sprite had to be left to speculation.
372
Geriatric Mario, Luigi and Yoshi seen in a manga about Mario in the year 2059, released by Enix Corporation (later part of Square Enix).

Normally, Mario and Luigi's irises are exactly the same size (top). However, in Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure, Dr. Mario's irises are much smaller than Dr. Luigi's. In addition, Dr. Luigi has specular highlights (shines) in his eyes, while Dr. Mario's eyes do not reflect light.

The only instance of the same character being selectable by multiple competitors in the Mario Party series is in Mario Party 10. Using only one amiibo (say, Mario) during "amiibo Party", the human player plays as a plastic Mario toy while the CPU plays as cardboard Mario cutouts.

Long-time readers of Supper Mario Broth may know about my search for "Big Yoshi", an extremely rare render of a Yoshi from Super Mario RPG. I have written an in-depth article about it here: patreon.com/posts/search-f… , which includes a new high-quality scan provided by @MDragmire.
