Vladimir Putin is once again violating international law with his threats to annex more of Ukraine.
We will not hesitate to take further action, including imposing more sanctions to cripple Putin’s war machine.
We will ensure he loses this illegal war.

Reports that Russian forces may have used chemical agents in an attack on the people of Mariupol. We are working urgently with partners to verify details.
Any use of such weapons would be a callous escalation in this conflict and we will hold Putin and his regime to account.

Tomorrow we will be announcing new sanctions on Russia in response to their breach of international law and attack on Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Appalled by atrocities in Bucha and other towns in Ukraine. Reports of Russian forces targeting innocent civilians are abhorrent.
The UK is working with others to collect evidence and support @IntlCrimCourt war crimes investigation. Those responsible will be held to account.

I thanked him for helping secure the release of 5 British nationals & discussed ways to protect 🇺🇦 gas supplies.
