UK stands by Australia and the Netherlands in calling on the Russian government to accept responsibility for the tragedy of MH17. We must deliver justice for the families of the victims. This is just another example of the Kremlin’s barbaric actions against innocent civilians.

I am appalled by Russian atrocities in Mariupol, including attacks on schools sheltering civilians and the abduction and deportation of Ukrainians. Putin is resorting to desperate measures as he is not achieving his objectives. Putin and his regime will be held to account.

Good to speak to Ukrainian FM @DmytroKuleba. We discussed how the UK, alongside #G7 allies and partners, will increase economic pressure against Putin’s regime. We will not stop in our mission to cut off funds for Russia’s brutal war machine.

The Putin regime knows no bounds when it comes to fighting those who dare to speak out against it. I condemn the politically-motivated sentence imposed on @navalny and call on the Kremlin to release him immediately.

So sorry to hear of the death of Madeleine Albright. She was the first female US Secretary of State and a huge champion of freedom and democracy. We need to stand by these values now more than ever.

Resounding defeat for Russia’s proposed Security Council resolution. The international community sees through Putin’s disinformation & overwhelmingly recognises that Russia is the aggressor. Russia’s text was an insult to Ukraine. We will not stand for it. twitter.com/UKUN_NewYork/s…
