Just Introduced: This Bill is a reasonable and practical solution to ➡️ Fix problems facing businesses and people in Northern Ireland ➡️ Uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement ➡️ Protect UK and EU markets gov.uk/government/new…

Spoke to @simoncoveney about the Bill we’re announcing today to protect peace and stability in Northern Ireland and uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement. We remain open to negotiations with the EU, but we cannot wait to fix the issues facing the people of NI.

Spoke to Vice President @MarosSefcovic to discuss the legislation we are announcing today to fix the problems with the Northern Ireland Protocol and restore political stability. Our preference is a negotiated solution, but EU must be willing to change the Protocol itself.

Spoke with Ukrainian FM @DmytroKuleba to discuss efforts to secure the release of prisoners of war held by Russian proxies. The judgement against them is an egregious breach of the Geneva convention. The UK continues to back Ukraine against Putin’s barbaric invasion.
331
I utterly condemn the sentencing of Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner held by Russian proxies in eastern Ukraine. They are prisoners of war. This is a sham judgment with absolutely no legitimacy. My thoughts are with the families. We continue to do everything we can to support them.

Great to meet Prime Minister of Kosovo @albinkurti. We discussed: 👉 Strengthening our bilateral relationship 🇬🇧🇽🇰 👉 Galvanising action against Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine 👉 Challenging malign influence in the Western Balkans
333
Pleased that colleagues have backed the Prime Minister. I support him 100%. Now's the time to get on with the job.
334
Delighted to meet Estonian Prime Minister @kajakallas. As close NATO allies, we are committed to Europe’s security and ensuring Putin loses in Ukraine. Together we will defend freedom and democracy. 🇬🇧🇪🇪
335
The Prime Minister has my 100% backing in today's vote and I strongly encourage colleagues to support him. He has delivered on covid recovery and supporting Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. He has apologised for mistakes made. We must now focus on economic growth.

The Platinum Jubilee Pageant truly showcases the best of British. A wonderful way to tell the story of The Queen’s 70-year reign and how society has transformed over the decades. #PlatinumJubileePageant twitter.com/FCDOGovUK/stat…

Today, 4th June, we remember the peaceful protestors who lost their lives in Tiananmen Square 33 years ago. Despite Chinese attempts to erase the history books we will never forget them.   The UK will continue to stand up for those who defend freedom and human rights in China.

Welcomed @Kasparov63, a great champion of freedom and democracy, to @FCDOGovUK this afternoon The free world must not rest until Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity is restored and Russia is held to account More weapons will be supplied and more sanctions imposed🇺🇦
339
My statement to mark the first 100 days of the barbaric war in Ukraine 👇

Spoke with @SecBlinken The 🇬🇧 & 🇺🇸 are working with our allies to support Ukraine against Putin’s illegal war. We agreed we must: ➡️ Stand firm on sanctions ➡️ Back Ukraine with military support inc MLRS ➡️ Stop Russia from weaponising hunger & harming the world’s poorest
341
Congratulations to Her Majesty The Queen on her #PlatinumJubilee Her remarkable service to the UK and the Commonwealth is recognised across the globe and she has touched the lives of millions of people beyond our shores.

Russia’s aggression cannot be appeased. It must be met with strength.
343
Signed Statement of Intent for closer cooperation between UK and Czech Republic with @JanLipavsky 🇬🇧🇨🇿 👉 Greater security cooperation 👉 Deeper economic, trade & tech ties 👉 Continue to step up sanctions & military equipment to support Ukraine 🇺🇦
344
Joined my good friend Foreign Minister @JanLipavsky in Prague commemorating UK-trained resistance fighters in the Second World War. Historic moment of UK-Czechoslovak cooperation when we fought together for sovereignty and freedom.

Disgraceful that China and Russia vetoed the #UNSC resolution to respond to North Korea’s continued ballistic missile tests. twitter.com/UKUN_NewYork/s…

Russia’s aggression cannot be appeased. It must be met with strength. That means backing Ukraine in their brave defence of their country. 💬 My speech at Sarajevo’s Army Hall gov.uk/government/new…

I paid respects to the hundreds of children killed in the siege of Sarajevo with the inspiring Mayor @BenjaminaKaric, a child herself at the time of the siege. The horrors of the conflict here must never be repeated.
348
It is appalling that Putin is trying to hold the world to ransom.
349
I’ve been in Northern Ireland today speaking with businesses to hear first-hand the problems they are facing with the Protocol. Our proposals will cut costs for business, remove unnecessary paperwork and protect UK and EU markets.

The Prime Minister has apologised and taken responsibility for the mistakes that have been made. I back him 100% - we now need to drive our economy forward post-COVID and ensure Putin loses in Ukraine.
