This is clearly Malone being nervous about the GOP in the midterms, so he's rushing to try to tilt CNN as far right as possible. twitter.com/DylanByers/sta…

CNN is a right-wing media outlet. CNN has always leaned to the right (just look at the below list of paid contributors from this recent piece I wrote), but since John Malone installed Chris Licht, it's taken a sharp right turn. readtpa.com/p/what-liberal…

Ah, an attempt to get a message to people as he was pushed out the door. Something very sinister is happening with CNN. twitter.com/froomkin/statu…

As @zpleat points out, this is *exactly* what Fox has always done: offer an opinion, then "report" the opinion that they put into the world as though it just emerged out of nowhere. From 2011: mediamatters.org/sean-hannity/f…

Me,after seeing the trailer for Don't Worry Darling in theaters: Oh, that looks interesting. Might be worth checking out!
Me, after seeing the stories about that movie the past couple of days: I MUST SEE THE FILM THAT DROVE THIS COLLECTION OF WILDLY ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE TO MADNESS

If mainstream news outlets want to be taken seriously, they can't ignore the left anymore. And it's time the left calls out the clear right-wing bias that exists.

Republicans log on to Twitter every day and just start spewing insults at any group they don't like, but the second a Democrat even lightly criticizes a person or group, the GOP starts screaming about civility.

My guess is that Biden's speech will be him saying a bunch of objectively true things... that the press will spend the next 24 hours debating whether or not it broke with his message of "unity."

And it wasn't that he lied a long time ago. He lied, under oath, about this as recently as March. nydailynews.com/news/politics/…

"Sure, he owned slaves, but did you know he also came up with the phrase 'give me liberty or give me death'?" is such a wild position here, as though it doesn't just show how little he actually cared about "liberty." twitter.com/abughazalehkat…

Here was @brikeilarcnn covering that 2019 speech. Didn't say anything about the Marines. Go figure! twitter.com/Acyn/status/15…

This is going exactly how I predicted it would (see thread). And it's not because I'm in any way insightful, but because the people who work in corporate media are SO predictable: twitter.com/ParkerMolloy/s…

John Malone controls CNN. He also donated to the Trump "Save America" PAC that was formed after the 2020 election specifically to help Trump try to cling to power. When CNN says "neutrality," they mean "even more biased in favor of the right." CNN has always been center-right. twitter.com/perrybaconjr/s…

My brain: time to type "Danny DeVito as the virgin Mary" into #midjourney for absolutely no reason

I'd like to again remind people that Prager made a video where he explained that it was perfectly natural for men to want to bang hot mannequins. twitter.com/JessicaValenti…

If you're wondering what kind of journalists will remain at CNN, well... this Chomsky quote comes to mind youtube.com/watch?v=1nBx-3…

This was in MARCH. Six months later and CNN is excitedly announcing this guy's hiring. politico.com/news/2022/03/2…

@brikeilarcnn It is deranged that you're still on this. Just shredding your credibility.
48
Anyone with a shred of integrity who works at CNN should be loudly speaking out about what's happening. It might hurt your career, but it'd be the right thing to do. Show some bravery, people. Otherwise, you're just helping the rise of fascism.

As soon as she refused to answer the question for the second time, that's when you say "That's enough" and end the interview. It's absolutely insane that people in media ARE STILL doing this. twitter.com/AndyOstroy/sta…

Ever notice that whenever someone's going to try to push things way too the right that they try to brand it as embracing "neutrality" or being "nonpartisan"? twitter.com/sarahellison/s…
