I’ve been engaged in a lifelong argument with myself and I don’t need you interrupting it.

ME: [tries to explain]
MOM: That makes no sense. Kind of dumb thing to say.
ME: LOL Mom, you’re a WHOLE mood.
(long pause)
MOM: No I feel fine.

We've seen too many horrific videos capturing police brutality. There's something particularly awful about the sound of the man's head hitting the pavement surrounded by relative quiet that compelled me to write what I watched. I refuse to be desensitized by it. It's nauseating.

My relationship with mirrors:
1) Damn I look like shit.
2) Damn I look fine as hell.
3) Damn I look 🎵 who is that girl I see... 🎶
End of list.

It's extremely depressing to imagine that this current political period may very well be the thing our generation rants most about in our rocking chairs to our grandchildren.

A second angle of the video shows the man, who appeared to be approaching police to ask a question, only receive attention after protesters who were nearby screamed for someone to help him. A few military personnel then arrive to offer what I can only hope is medical aid.

I've always had a hard time believing in things: hope, others, God, myself. Stan Lee made me believe in superheroes. Every comic, character, and film filled me with a sense of wonder and joy I rarely found elsewhere in life. You will be missed, but never forgotten. 💔 #Excelsior

For many, Paris is the gateway city for travelers to begin appreciating the preservation of art, architecture, and culture. For me, on a deeply personal note, it's a second home. My mother has lived there for 20 years, my stepfather for many, many more. We are all heartbroken. 😢
