Nalongo Nana is a human rights defender. In April when I was under house arrest, she went to see the IGP about it. Officers pounced on her, beat her & damaged her 7.5 months pregnancy. Resultantly, she had a premature baby & lost her uterus. Hang in there mama. We shall overcome

As Mandela told us, "There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires." More than three months and counting under illegal detention! Hang in there

James Akena, award winning photo-journalist with @Reuters was brutally clobbered by the military in Kampala, for covering the #FreeBobiWine protests! Now confined to a wheel chair. No one charged, over a year later. Our struggle to end these untold gross violations is very urgent

Am going to hold an International Press Conference in Washington DC today together with my lawyer Robert Amsterdam at 10:00 EST and 17:00hrs [5:00pm] East African time....

I've paid a visit to comrade Jjajja Tausi Ssola of Bulenga — Nakabugo. Recently, I came across a video on TikTok of Jjajja Tausi expressing love for us and I thought I should return as much. She calls me "Bobu Line" 🤣

He was burnt, electrocuted and his fingernails plucked out. Puss has been oozing out of his nose and eyes. His entire body bears marks of extreme torture. He remains unconscious. That's why we're taking Gen. Museveni to the ICC. These crimes against humanity must be accounted for

Am wondering why these police officers allow themselves to descend so low? They now want to decide who picks me and where I go upon arrival? Well, for your information, no single family member will receive me at the airport, I will find them home coz I know where home is!

For 29 days, Kajimu Umar who does stationery work for us has been under military detention. He tells of a horrifying ordeal- beaten, forced to roll on ground several times, electrocuted! Saw horrendous things there. He was eventually release yesterday. #WeAreRemovingADictator

After 12 hrs,( 8:30pm to 9:30am) I've been finally allowed into Dubai. Hoping that our charity concert, which seemed to be the source of these issues, will be allowed to proceed. We're only trying to raise awareness and assist the many Ugandan and African Immigrant workers.

At the end of it all, freedom will have to come. #BringBackOurPeople #FreePoliticalPrisoners

Hearty congratulations to the Zambian President-elect, His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema. On behalf of all democracy loving Ugandans, I congratulate the people of Zambia on this momentous achievement. This is not only a Zambian victory, but a victory for Africa and democracy!

Is Gen. Museveni now going to apologise to all women and girls? As the world fights to end sexism, his son shamelessly publicises how he views women as mere sex objects! He doesn't care if this is someone's wife. The same Museveni signed a Computer Misuse Act to silence dissent!

Very delighted this evening to receive the first batch of 12 Ugandans who have been stuck at Al Awir Deportation Jail for several months! The stories are sad. Many fled dehumanising conditions and ended up in the detention. Grateful to all of you who have embraced this effort!

Moments after a teargas canister was thrown directly into my car, in Mbale. The crime of the people was waving at me, and marching with me peacefully towards our designated venue. #WeAreRemovingADictator

Thank you God Thank you Uganda Thank you Africa Thank you World We now enter the most critical phase of our liberation struggle!

Comrades Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe & over 18 others are being held in a military barracks. Lawyers, family & doctors have been denied access to them. The comrades at Masaka Police (over 90) were badly beaten last night. The more they become desperate, the more they become reckless.

It is 70 days since my entire campaign team was arrested in Kalangala for no crime! They were granted bail but were re-arrested and charged in a military court. These and thousands of our supporters in illegal detention must be released unconditionally. #WeAreRemovingADictator

After 21 days of severe torture at CMI Mbuya, Kasese NUP Registrar Samuel Masereka & two others were taken to Kireka, charged with 'subversive activities' and released on bond. These are pictures of Masereka's body upon release! It is time for the world to stop watching on!

The most pressing question on my mind today: HOW & WHY did prized revolutionaries do this to themselves? Men who were received in Kampala with ululations of joy to go down with such hatred from so many citizens? The Latin say, "Mortui Vivos Docent". Let the dead teach the living.

Right after nomination, Bobi Wine was violently arrested outside nomination venue! He's been brutalised by police and military. They've blocked him from proceeding to launch his manifesto at office. It's clear Museveni & his regime are in so much panic. WE SHALL OVERCOME Admin

It's inexcusable. It's criminal. It's outrageous. It is hatred. Must be condemned by all people of good conscience. This murder is evidence of how much more work we have to do to bring about sanity in a crazy world. #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd

Today our brother Apedeli Daniel aka Number 1, was laid to rest in Kumi. He was part of our security team. Like many people I work with, he was constantly trailed. Yesterday we were told his body lay at Mulago, where we found it with severe torture marks. Tough times indeed.

On this beautiful Sunday afternoon, I am sending love and healing prayers to my King, Saabasajja Kabaka, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II. Wangaala ayi Beene.
