Spent the day in Nakaseke district, visiting Mugambwa Stephen 66, whose house was recently demolished at night by armed men on the orders of one Capt. Sula Serunjogi, a former RDC, in an attempt to grab the land he's occupied for 48 years. We gave him assistance to rebuild.

The people here spoke of massive land grabbing by the powerful and mighty. This lawlessness will only come to an end when the Museveni regime is out of the way. That's the most urgent task! I thank the people of Nakaseke for the warm reception. There will be justice!

Spent part of today visiting mzee Moses Nkonge Kibalama, former NUP President. Despite the past challenges, we have continued to be in touch and to offer support to him and his colleagues in their different endeavours. We are glad to see that his health has greatly improved.

In a rogue state, no one is spared. Journalists continue to be on the receiving end of torture and brutality. The brutality of Bukedde journalist Lawrence Kitatta by this hooded armed man must be condemned. That's why everyone needs to get involved in the struggle for freedom.

I've learnt of the arrest and detention of Mr. Male Mabirizi. He might have wronged some people but he's is entitled to due process of law. The judiciary and all law enforcement agencies must uphold his rights and freedoms and accord him his right to a fair trial.

Shadrack Mbogo Kyagulanyi is our third born. We named him Shadrack because the mother went through fire to bring him forth! Yesterday, he was elected Head Prefect of his school. Congratulations son. May God give you the wisdom and favor you need to fulfil your mandate.

Earlier on, we had an event where we received many leaders joining @NUP_Ug from the sub-regions of Lango, Acholi, West-Nile, Karamoja, Rwenzori & Teso. We also received NUP leaders from those areas and 11 NUP Guild leaders. Ours is a mission to freedom!

We also received comrade Yasin Busuwa, one of the thousands abducted in Nov 2020 and taken through grave torture. Dumped in Nakawa yesterday. Doing our best to to rehabilitate and get him treatment. One day, there will be accountability for these crimes against humanity.

In one story, a student is tortured to death by police! One of the thousands of victims. In another, minister for security Jim Muhwezi promises to reward (mostly) NRM MPs who refused to sign to censure him for refusing or failing to stop torture!

From personally overseeing the torture of hundreds of our supporters, to murdering civilians in the DRC and other places, Muhoozi is now praising the invasion of Ukraine! Why wouldn't he? The same group invaded & looted DRC. We now have to pay millions of dollars in reparations!

Alongside Ugandans of good conscience, we join the world in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, more so, those who have lost loved ones, and the tens of thousands fleeing their country. Muhoozi must be happy seeing little children in the cold, trying to find refuge.

Also want to acknowledge the heroic leadership of Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, a former comedian and actor, who many dismissed for being inexperienced. He has proven the skeptics wrong and earned the respect of the world for his courage in the face of the storm.

We shall be praying that the Ukrainian people triumph and emerge even stronger and more united from this crisis.

Some people often ask us which side we stand on regarding international politics. Our answer is simple- we stand with justice, human rights and good. We stand with the truth! We stand with oppressed people all over the world, because we know what oppression feels like.
