First I married you in my dreams, then married you in a play and finally married you in church. Happy anniversary my love.

Like many of our supporters, they were eventually forced to plead guilty to the charges of putting on military uniform & released this week. They return to broken families, no jobs, etc. For no crime! God willing, there will be justice for all these crimes against humanity.

Yesterday, met 5 comrades who were arrested on 10th Dec, 2020 in Arua Park for putting on the #PeoplePower berets. They were tortured and held at Mbuya barracks for weeks. They were charged before the military court and have been at Kitalya for close to two years without trial.

The whole vibe is fresh tonight with #Freshboy @FFameica.

I am very happy to note that despite all the challenges and tribulations, these comrades are still committed to the cause. #PeoplePowerOurPower

Delighted to spend part of the day with our comrades from the Northern Uganda Sub-regions of Acholi, Karamoja, West-Nile and Lango. We discussed various issues under the objective of revamping the spirit of resistance against dictatorship and misrule.

The most pressing question on my mind today: HOW & WHY did prized revolutionaries do this to themselves? Men who were received in Kampala with ululations of joy to go down with such hatred from so many citizens? The Latin say, "Mortui Vivos Docent". Let the dead teach the living.

It's regrettable that the regime continues to selectively apply the law against the poor & those w/out connections' while sparing & protecting the rich, regime officials & their agents in private business encroaching on wetlands and reclaiming lakes across with untold impunity.
635
The State is destroying businesses & structures built in Lubigi & other wetlands. Environmental conservation is a legitimate endeavour, but I wonder why the victims, as usual, are low income earners already struggling to make ends meet after the crippling Covid-19 lockdown.

Please accept my condolences comrade Lord Mayor @EriasLukwago_ about the death of your dear father Hajji Muhamood Mirundi. May Allah comfort your family and rest Hajji Mirundi's soul in eternal peace فليرقد بسلام pic.twitter.com/LSqABOlbmD

It's been four years since I was released by the military court and re-arrested. The guns that were paraded have never resurfaced. Our vehicles have never been released. There has been no justice for Yasin Kawuma and others. Why we can't & shall not give up, until Uganda is free.

Do not struggle against your oppressor in the style that he designed for you. He controls the options so you won't get far. Don't follow the rules of your oppressor, they're meant to keep you captive and not to free you. Set your own rules or better still, set no rules at all.

In Kayunga, in a by-election to merely replace a Councillor, Kyobutungi Jennifer, the Returning Officer who last time declared NRM with all DR forms in favor of NUP's Hon. Nakwedde did the exact thing. Of 5 polling stations, NUP won 4 with a clear lead. She declared NRM winner!!
640
We've used the elections to preach our message to the people. The regime, as if under a spell has done its best to expose its rot to the people in all regions of Uganda. We must agree that its time to find the courage to redeem our nation from this mess USING ALL MEANS POSSIBLE.
641
The military took over. Whoever questioned this was arrested! There have been five rounds of by-elections- Kayunga, Omoro, Soroti, Pallisa/Kisoro and Kasese. All have been handled in a similar way, Byabakama ensuring that Museveni's candidates are declared winners at all costs.
642
Yesterday, there were by-elections in Busongola and other local gov'ts. What happened was sad but expected. Ballot stuffing, multiple voting, tampering with voters' register, etc. The two women were paid UGX 2,000 by some RDC to vote for the bus! They had the courage to speak out
643
But again, comrades, this can only remind us of how deep our country has sunk when it comes to impunity. That's why #WeAreRemovingaDictator

This person viciously assaulted, live on TV, no other than the Lord Mayor of Kampala Capital City. I wonder what the very media house on which he carried out his transgressions is promoting by hosting him again without any apology or sanction.
645
Someone was neither qualified nor applied for the job she is holding, but she still speaks with this unmitigated arrogance!
646
I am encouraged to see him steadily regaining his health. We wish you a full and quicker recovery, my brother.

Interacted with Counsel Wameli Anthony on the sidelines of our diaspora conference in California, USA. Csl Wameli heads our @NUP_Ug Legal Dep't. He's spent 1 yr+ in the U.S. getting treated 4 a condition doctors in Ug were unable to discover until he was flown out.
648
Hang in there Honourable comrades. It will be over soon.

LA, see you in a few hours! #PeoplePowerOurPower
