Over 40 Ugandans, including children, have so far been confirmed dead as a result of the most recent mudslides in Bududa district, Eastern Uganda, on the foothills of Mount Elgon. I send heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased....

After blocking us from addressing a radio program in Mbale, they teargassed our people, beat them up and harassed them in many ways. But I want to thank those who braved the teargas and beatings and joined us to listen to the message of change.

This is something that reduces the hopes of Ugandans that are eager to be liberated. Those divisions are very clear in this election. It took me a lot of thought before I decided to come because in this race, we have five comrades in the struggle running against one oppressor.

I have warmly welcomed him back from captivity, and encouraged him to remain strong and committed to the cause. Like Huey Newton said, "you can jail a Revolutionary, but you can't jail the Revolution". #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners

Our show in Kigumba has been cancelled by police yet we got clearance from the same police. From my hotel room, I can hear fans exchanging with officers.

Believe not in my abilities to change this nation for the better but the people's joint abilities and efforts. Together we can redeem this nation from the claws and fangs of the mafias and tyrants at whose hands our people helplessly die everyday! #Situka twitter.com/joshmali/statu…

Damulira is one of the hundreds of our people who are still under illegal detention. His family is in great distress. His businesses have since stopped working. This is a reminder to all of us not to stop or backtrack until the dignity of the people of Uganda is restored.

I cannot forget to mention our comrades who were arrested for no reason whatsoever and are still in prison for over 76 hours now! While our lawyers do everything to secure their release,WE THE PEOPLE must take note of this sickening impunity and bring it to an end. #peoplepower

His organisation, @EFFSouthAfrica has over the years led an exemplary and effective campaign to expose corruption and bad government practices in South Africa. We draw inspiration from their courage in the face of many challenges!

As I said a few days ago, this was only the first step in challenging this kind of impunity. We shall stop at nothing in seeking justice. We shall stop at nothing in trying to put an end to this mess. Uganda is for all of us. We shall CERTAINLY overcome. Get your national ID.

You can vividly hear and watch some of the people in attendance gleefully cheering and clapping at the brutality meted on their colleagues! That's how twisted our country has become!

We decided to proceed and engage with the station manager, but the police and military blocked us amidst heavy teargas and bullets. The great people of Lira turned out in large numbers to receive us and show strong disapproval of the regime's continous witch-hunt. Afwoyo matek!

The journey of #Freedom is long and rough but we shall walk it to the end! This is how #Kamuli went down last night. Can't thank you enough.

The gruesome murder of Hon. Col. Ibrahim Abiriga & his bodyguard this evening is yet another sad reminder that our country is in a very serious crisis. Countrymen & women, when we condemn the breakdown of the state in Uganda, some people think it's for political reasons. 1/3
