Welcome back, comrade Motiv Kasagga. Subjected to horrendous torture from the time he was abducted, until he was brought to court. What a cruel bunch of people! There will be accountability for these crimes. Obusibe buggwa, and indeed our nation will get out of captivity!

First two pictures - a few relatives and friends of Gen. Abel Kandiho, the sanctioned human rights abuser protesting his sanctions under police protection. Second set, medical doctors arrested and detained for attempting to protest against poor welfare! #WeAreRemovingADictator

Joined mourners in Te-Got Ayamo Village in Omoro District to say goodbye to our noble senior comrade and friend, Hon. Toolit Simon Akecha. On my behalf and that of @NUP_Ug, I extend condolences to the people of Acholi and all Ugandans upon losing such a valuable leader.

Images coming out of Sudan are such a shame to Africa and humanity. The killings must be condemned by all people with a conscience. What a reminder of the danger dictators tend to leave their countries in! I get shocked when people praise tyrants and their naked abuse of power.

While in the waiting lounge here in Amsterdam, I just saw the @PoliceUg spokesman Emilian Kayima & other senior police officers announcing that they will only allow my immediate family members to receive me from Entebbe Airport. They also said they will escort me to my home....

Some of our leaders deployed to guard the vote in Kayunga at the police station. Last night the military arrested and detained many of others. Military regimes like Museveni's do unthinkable actions in their evenings. This is not a sign of strength. #WeAreRemovingADictator

WHERE IS HE? Nalumonso Vincent was a mechanic, picked up on 1st Dec. 2020 behind Bugolobi market. He was 27 at the time. Initially, they said he was 'arrested' for putting on a #PeoplePower beret & pinning my campaign posters. His whereabouts still unknown! #BringBackOurPeople

Samuel Masereka was tortured to near death in Jan. He filed a case before the High Court on 8th Feb. Since then, the matter has never been even fixed for hearing. Instead, operatives have been hunting him and threatening him to withdraw the case or face consequences!

Due to #COVID19 lockdown, many people are starving. I receive countless calls from struggling families. Some boda boda riders are helping us pick items from supermarkets & deliver to some elderly, PWDs & families of slain comrades. We've now asked the @MinofHealthUG to pick items

They claimed our first consultation was blocked because it was an open venue. We secured an enclosed one. They lied we didn't have owner's permission. We produced evidence of payment. They have now intercepted us. Journalists arrested. People being clobbered. Dictator in panic

In Namayumba, this is how the ballot paper appears! The voters have been told to go ahead and vote, and use a pen to write NUP! The Electoral Commission clearly part of the conspiracy. #WeAreRemovingADictator

Appreciating our leadership team in the diaspora headed by Dr. Daniel Kawuma for the strong message sent out against the World Bank, IMF, and other international bodies that knowingly or recklessly fund the continued violation of our rights in Uganda.

Today, we unveiled comrade Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro as Deputy Spokesperson for the @NUP_Ug. Comrade Waiswa's unwavering devotion to good governance and the rule of law needs no mention. Confident he'll perform his responsibility with devotion. #PeoplePowerOurPower

WHERE IS HE? Luwemba Mustafah was 26 at the time of abduction. He was a boda-boda rider. Armed men came with a drone and a double-cabin truck and picked him with 3 others from a boda-boda stage in Kyebando, 19th Nov. 2020. To date, his whereabouts are unknown. #BringBackOurPeople

"There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest." ~ Elie Wiesel. Today, these 28 comrades who have been imprisoned for 2+ years, yet again protested against their continued detention without trial!

Today over 100 teachers joined the National Unity Platform. We also received dozens of former NRM mobilisers who say they've been doing this for money. They returned home. In a very special way, we received over 100 professional boxers who are saying ENOUGH. This is a REVOLUTION

We have committed ourselves to using upcoming elections to organise+rally the population to defend their democratic rights. We must decisively end the electoral madness that has bedeviled our country. The next time we go into an election, if we do, it won’t be business as usual!

Now Ugandans want to see EVERYBODY in the #Karamoja_Ironsheets theft prosecuted! Otherwise this looks like other corruption cases where officials regarded less connected to the regime are targeted and the sharks are spared to continue swimming in corruption! #BringBackOurPeople

Kassim Migadde was picked up by a 'drone' on Dec 10th 2020. Gravely tortured and then charged before the military court with putting on a red beret. He has spent a full year and one month under illegal detention! Today, he was released on bail. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersUganda

The US gov't just announced sanctions against Gen. Kale Kayihura, Uganda's former IGP. Kayihura presided over a violent & brutal police which committed so many atrocities on the people of Uganda. Good news to his victims! Strong message to those who occupy these offices today.

34 years in power. Ailing education sector. Sick health-care. Sickening poverty levels. Unemployment. State capture. Murders all over. Militarised state. Gross human rights violations. Nepotism. Misuse of power. This is the system Mr. Museveni calls progress and seeks to protect!
