It's obvious that 'deliver' scores well in focus groups. I wonder, half-seriously, whether it has anything to do with the recent proliferation of home delivery services. twitter.com/10DowningStree…

Another breathtaking & heartbreaking report from @DanielHewittITV on @itvnews. This time on the plight of renters rendered incapable of paying their rent. Superlative & important journalism.

You can't be completely sure of these things until a bit of time has passed & you find out for sure how deeply it's embedded itself in your psyche, but I currently believe The Sandman to be the finest thing I have ever watched on television. Thank you so much, @neilhimself & co.

Brexit hard man Steve Baker has been talking to inanimate objects for twelve years. And that’s the least surprising thing I’ve heard all day. twitter.com/Haggis_UK/stat…

A collector’s item to mark the end of an awful era. Three hours cataloguing the all calumnies, catastrophes & sundry other crap inflicted on us by Prime Minister Johnson. Also features cameos from @pcaruanagalizia & @SimonMarksFSN. l-bc.co/3CT9F5q

Peter’s enormously important book, Show Me The Bodies: How We Let Grenfell Happen, is out now. A painstaking chronicle of an entirely avoidable tragedy, its aftermath & its causes. twitter.com/LBC/status/159…

Boris Johnson’s egregious lie, protected from prosecution for libel by parliamentary privilege, continues to convince the furiously hard of thinking. I guess that’s why Sunak preferred ad hominem abuse to substance today. twitter.com/jake19790/stat…

Far from perfect but an effective, committed & much-needed advocate for military veterans. I wonder how many other Tories who held their noses while hoping Johnson would quickly pass are going to consider their political futures now Truss has taken up the reins of ridiculousness. twitter.com/JohnnyMercerUK…

If you like brilliant television & haven't watched Professor T yet, watch it asap & thank me later. Just caught up with the final episode of series 2 & am once again absolutely gobsmacked by the brilliance of the scripts, the acting & the unfolding characterisations.

Richard in Chelmsford. I don't say this lightly but it's very, very special. This is why all the excellent parodists - up to & including Colin in Portsmouth - will never quite match the magic of a real, live call from an actual person. twitter.com/LBC/status/160…

The 'best' thing about a blue tick is that you get an extra feed consisting entirely of interactions with other blue ticks. I rather like it because I still get star struck but I don't currently see how this survives the payment plan.
