I love this art from BEAST to death but friendly reminder that Oda actually never sat down next to Dazai. Dazai was pointing to it but Oda ended up sitting one seat away from him, “just in case”.
Things Beast!Dazai didn’t say in the novel but said in the movie: “Did you change your lipstick?”
I dont care what is going to happen to my acc anymore, but these accs need to be gone. Check out my next twt in the thread to see why. All are new accs that I believe were created just to harrass Asagiri. Don’t bother talking to them. Just report and block them.
You don’t make new Twitter accounts to harrass authors and wish them death just because you don’t like what they write. When has that become an acceptable thing? Those toxic people should just rot in hell.
Last night, Asagiri-sensei tweeted about him trying to dressing cool by combining nice clothes and lame socks (somehow he only nailed the lame part). Oda’s stage actor rt-ed it, saying it’s “somewhat beautiful” and then sensei replied to him in Dazai’s pov🥲
The opening short clip for BEAST movie changed again and this week is soukoku’s turn. It was hilarious, despite what actually happened in the movie.
“Those eyes look like the bottomless sea at night. Dark, silent, cruel, endlessly sucking people in and never letting go.”
Odasaku should win a prize just for describing Dazai’s eyes only.
Me: Nothing can hurt me more than BEAST Asagiri-sensei: hold my beer
#spoiler . . . . . . . . Just realized Dazai changed his pronoun from “boku” to “watashi” for the first time in Side A novel.
I keep thinking about how Dazai doesn’t want to bother others with his death. It was even more obvious when he was younger. He was ready to die alone while putting up a strong front so many times in this novel it hurts.
And then he loses him in every single timeline. twitter.com/Popopretty1/st…
Everyone keeps asking me who he is. I mean, it’s written on the cover.
For the first time in a while, someone actually gives Dazai things he wants to know, places he wants to go and stories he wants to talk about. And to me, that is so precious for words.
“There are things in this world that you can believe for sure. And there are two. First, you have not beaten me at poker yet. Second, a dead person will forever lose the chance to play poker with the living.”
It’s page 79 and Dazai finally asked “How should I call you?”
“If I ask, Dazai, will you come with me?”
The way Dazai is described in the novel is sad yet beautiful, like his eyes was described as a pair of open wounds on his face, from which the darkness is peeping out.
This is not Bungo Stray Dogs, this is Dazai Stray Cat.
Actually as the name is not mentioned yet, I still don’t know who the main character is, but basically he just wrapped Dazai in a bed sheet and twisted the two ends like how you wrap a candy.
