People everywhere can now see and rate notes, helping to ensure notes are helpful to those from a wide range of views.

You can see notes that are currently rated helpful and showing on Twitter here: twitter.com/i/communitynot… If you don’t see them yet, don’t fret, it’s in the process of rolling out.

People around the world who want to have additional impact—including writing notes—can now sign up at twitter.com/i/flow/join-bi… As there are important nuances in each market, we’ll expand the contributor base country-by-country. We’ll add contributors from a first new country soon.

Introducing: Needs Your Help Alerts✨ Contributors tell us over and over they want to add informative context to Tweets a lot of people are seeing. These new alerts let you know when your rating could help determine if a proposed note on a high visibility Tweet gets shown:

In September, we began requiring that new contributors unlock the ability to write notes by first making valuable ratings. This increased average note quality so much that, today, we are retroactively requiring that all contributors meet these criteria in order to write notes.

Community Notes are now also shown on Quote Tweets 🎉 This change boosts the impact of contributors’ efforts, and helps ensure context is shown everywhere it can be helpful. Live now in the web app, and coming soon to iOS and Android.

Just launched an algorithm update that keeps note statuses and contributor impact scores more stable as we expand Community Notes. In addition to helping going forward, it boosts existing contributor impact scores by better recognizing helpful past contributions. Details 🧵

Starting today, you’ll get a heads up if a Community Note starts showing on a Tweet you’ve replied to, Liked or Retweeted. This helps give people extra context that they might otherwise miss.

Today we accepted the first Community Notes code change from a member of the public. For the first time ever, we’re now scoring and displaying notes using code written by people outside the company. Incredibly exciting, and we look forward to more. github.com/twitter/commun…
