Sometimes notes seem plausibly correct, but careful raters identify inaccuracies or inconsistency with sources. To strengthen note accuracy, we're rolling out a new algorithm update that builds on tag filtering to identify rating patterns that suggest a note may contain… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Each contributor’s limit is equal to their Writing Impact plus 5, unless Writing Impact is negative, in which case the limit is 1.
For example:
A contributor with -1 Writing Impact can write 1 note every 24 hours.

Contributors’ time is valuable, and best spent reviewing high quality notes. Today we’re making the number of notes one can write in 24h proportional to their track record. The more helpful notes you’ve written, the more you can write. If you hit your limit, you’ll see this:

More Community Notes! Today’s new algorithm update boosts the number of Helpful notes by 10%+. It builds on last week’s change that uses confidence scores to identify notes that are broadly found helpful with high precision. communitynotes.twitter.com/guide/en/under…

It also means that people who consistently write not helpful notes will more quickly have writing ability locked, and have to earn it back.

We’re rolling out an update that better identifies notes that are broadly found not helpful. This boosts the average quality of notes contributors see and rate, making better use of their time and energy.

Today we accepted the first Community Notes code change from a member of the public. For the first time ever, we’re now scoring and displaying notes using code written by people outside the company. Incredibly exciting, and we look forward to more. github.com/twitter/commun…

Starting today, you’ll get a heads up if a Community Note starts showing on a Tweet you’ve replied to, Liked or Retweeted. This helps give people extra context that they might otherwise miss.
