Yesterday’s rendezvous with USS Iwo Jima, HMS Albion & their escorts represents a formidable concentration of maritime power.
But for all the impressive kit, our greatest advantage is the fact we have the one thing that matters most – allies.

This weekend sees the start of Exercise #StrikeWarrior…the final tick in the box for the Carrier Strike Group ahead of #CSG21 and a chance to work alongside our #NATO allies.

US Marine Corps F-35B jets from VMFA-211 operating alongside 617 Squadron.
The fact that UK & US jets can operate so easily from the same deck is a huge strategic advantage to both countries, and to NATO. #CarrierStrike #WeAreNATO
