In order to make certain technology seem more impressive in Nadia, Anno would increase the animation frame rate to 24fps to create an other-worldly feeling within the usual 12fps world.
The running Unit-01 in Eva2.0 is full CG, but when Anno first saw the rough footage, he wasn't satisfied. He got Takeshi Honda to draw some rough key frames, and made the CG animator redo the animation, matching the shape and movement of the frames one by one. twitter.com/hitasuraeiga/s…
