Toriyama has drawn the cover for his old editor Kazuhiko Torishima’s new book “Dr. Mashirito’s Mightiest Manga Techniques” (Dr.マシリトの最強漫画術), showing Torishima’s villainous alter ego Mashirito squaring off against Goku. shueisha.co.jp/books/items/co…

After drawing Sand Land, Toriyama lost his favorite wooden pen he’d used since before his professional debut, and the new pen he bought just wasn’t the same. So he’s used this as an excuse to hardly draw any more manga since then (laughs)

After the tense tournament, Goku and Chi Chi relax with a honeymoon trip to filler land. Martial arts-wise it’s mostly challenge-free for newly crowned world champ Goku, though the divine Annin puts up a decent fight. #WeGottaPower

Toyotaro draws what he imagines a grown-up Hire Dragon (aka Higher Dragon aka Icarus) would look like: “Hopefully he’s still alive and well on Mt. Paozu” dragon-ball-official.com/news/01_1643.h…

Toriyama’s comment for the DBS: Super Hero animanga notes how the movie is set “right before” the original manga’s final chapter (ie the end of Z). He says how the movie went over well, and the animanga allows you to make new discoveries (ie spot Easter eggs you missed before)

Manga artist Kentaro Yabuki (of Black Cat and To Love Ru fame) enjoyed DBS: Super Hero enough to doodle Pan from the movie together with Namek arc Gohan. Yabuki is a long-time Gohan fan and was happy to see him get a chance to shine in the film. twitter.com/yabuki_info/st…

Another Q&A with DBS:SH executive producer Akio Iyoku:   Q: Tell us about making Gohan and Piccolo the leads for this film. A: Actually, Toriyama-sensei’s original idea was for just Piccolo to be the lead, but I pushed for Gohan, so the two of them ended up as co-stars. twitter.com/DB_super2015/s…

Toriyama gives his thoughts after seeing the finished cut of DBS: Super Hero. Turns out, he likes it!…which he admits is exactly what you’d expect him to say. But still, he certainly sounds enthusiastic. twitter.com/db_super2015/s…

Here’s a translation of the Toriyama interview included in the DBS: SH movie pamphlet (thanks to @DBSuperFrance for sharing!). Some of this Q&A already appeared on the film’s Twitter account, but it’s mostly new. Learn the unbelievably stupid reason behind the film’s title! (1/3)

Videl: “Can you pick up Pan from kindergarten for me?” Piccolo: “What about Gohan?” Videl: “He’s busy with a research report” Piccolo: “OK” Videl: “Thanks! I’ll buy you some more cute stuffed animals!” Piccolo: “Why stuffed animals?!” twitter.com/DB_super2015/s…

Seems this still needs saying: the Japanese wording for Bardock’s wish basically means “ I wish my sons grow up to be big strong men” and not “I wish that nothing bad will ever happen to my sons at any point in their whole entire lives, ever”
