I’ve repeatedly stated it: Hong Kong protestors fight against the dictatorial PRC regime, not the Chinese people. We stand in solidarity with brave dissidents in China and overseas. We have the same demands – to elect govts leaders, and determine our futures.

Fighting for Hong Kong’s future. Truly a sad and heartbreaking story.

4. As a global-facing activist, the choices I have are stark: to stay silent from now on, or to keep engaging in private diplomacy so I can warn the world of the threat of Chinese authoritarian expansion. I made the decision when I agreed to testify before the US Congress.

7. I really love Hong Kong: its terrain, its culture, its vibe. But what I most love are Hong Kongers’ values and the future of its every inhabitant. What I now face is far greater than my own gains and losses. The price of displacement is what I’m willing to pay.

1. It is vital that democratic countries offer meaningful help to support our movement. Implementing concrete policies is key.
That's why I've written to the newly re-elected NZ Prime Minister @jacindaardern to recommend a New Zealand lifeline scheme for HK protestors.

RIP Congressman John Lewis. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your activism. Thank you for your lessons. twitter.com/RepTomSuozzi/s…

2. At the @HouseForeign hearing yesterday, I spoke about the regime's lawlessness in hopes that the world would not forget about what's going on in Hong Kong. Of course, I knew my speech and appearance would put my own safety in serious jeopardy given the circumstances.

It's a political show trial.
The right to a jury trial is denied. The government handpicked the judges. The judicial system in Hong Kong is weaponized to suppress.

It's not the protesters who don't want to organize peaceful demonstrations, it's the police who started to shot tear gas to disperse the legitimate and authorized assembly immediately after people had gathered. The police only want blood.

Many told me that in #Yangon tonight there are more shootings and military presence than before. Hope we can continue to pay attention to the protests and pray for the freedom loving people there.
The world should act immediately.

Hong Kong govt is enacting "Emergency Law" which grants them unlimited power. After the "anti-mask law", we can expect the denial of internet access, prolonged detention, restrict freedom of movement etc. draconian laws coming from them.
Communists want war, not peace.

Many don't understand the Chinese authority's mentality. Complying with them makes them think that you are weak -- only deterrence can stop CCP's threats.
For them, every policy is for domestic consumption. Don't act in a way CCP can claim a clear victory.

The experience of Taiwan in fighting the pandemic is invaluable. It's unthinkable that Taiwan is excluded from sharing its expertise with allies because of the political blackmail from CCP. Thug politics overrode saving lives - It's unacceptable.

It’s my honor to receive the award of ÚSTR Award for Freedom, Democracy and Human Rights from The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes.

Let me make it clear: internet is a creation that encourages freedom. It's born free. Government like China uses it to control people while the industry work with them to restrain freedom in the WESTERN WORLD.
It's complete violation of what gaming supposed to be.

Nathan:
The future looks like very grim or bleak.
But I think the situation is always very dynamic. Beijing is always suffering from numerous pressure, no matter domestically or internationally.
I don't feel like we are entirely hopeless now.
