In a piece of Mario Party 5 promotional content, Wario and Waluigi feature as candidates for treasurer for rival political parties. This promotion is unique due to Wario and Waluigi being on opposing teams, and the highly unusual characterization of Wario as having "credibility".

This artwork of Bowser tickling Toad for Game & Watch Gallery 2 is the only instance of tickling ever depicted in official art for a Mario game.
