It was a pleasure to tour the El-Alamein Military Museum with President El-Sisi, which the founding father Sheikh Zayed visited in 1992. The museum documents the El Alamein battles during World War II. Egypt will remain the region's gateway to peace and stability.

During a call with my friend President Emmanuel Macron, we discussed further developing our strategic bilateral partnership. We also discussed the importance of a peaceful settlement of regional issues, in particular support of the Cairo Declaration to resolve the Libyan crisis.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and I visited the new city of El Alamein, and viewed tourism projects, government buildings and facilities under construction. Egypt is moving steadily forward towards further development and prosperity.
