I know this will not be easy — the first baby steps never are. But I hope that, when we look back, the changes we have made this week will be seen as an important moment on the road to our nation’s recovery. gov.uk/government/spe…

Today marks a truly historic moment as Her Majesty The Queen becomes the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.  I pay tribute to her many years of service and look forward to coming together as a country to celebrate her historic reign in the summer.

I’ve arrived in Cornwall for this year’s @G7 where I’ll be asking my fellow leaders to rise to the challenge of beating the pandemic and building back better, fairer and greener. It will be a busy and important Summit, and I can’t wait to get started. #G7UK

Never in our history has our collective destiny and our collective health depended so completely on our individual behaviour. Now is the time for all of us to summon the discipline, the resolve, and the spirit of togetherness that will carry us through.

I’m at @NATO where I’ll be urging our allies and partners to step up military and economic support to Ukraine, strengthening their defences as they turn the tide in this fight. We cannot and will not stand by while Russia grinds Ukraine’s towns and cities into dust. 1/6

As India celebrates its 75th year of independence, I’m hugely optimistic about the depth of the friendship between our countries, and the security and prosperity it can deliver for our peoples for generations to come. 🇬🇧🇮🇳

We’re all hoping you can go one better and bring it home tonight @England. Football’s coming home!

We can beat this virus together – but only if we stay alert.

This week I visited a wonderful bakery in North London, where the message was clear - let’s get on with it and get Brexit done!

As we remember the fallen at the Cenotaph, and honour their sacrifice, we are reminded that war has tragically returned to our European continent, on an appalling scale. The brave work of the men and women of our armed forces is more important than ever.

Now is the time for the public and businesses to get ready for the Australian option on January 1st.

Wonderful to meet and serve lunch to so many of our fantastic servicemen and women today. Wherever our Armed Forces serve, you fill our hearts with pride and gratitude for everything you do.
413
It’s time for us to get this done and move this country forward.

✔️Getting Brexit done ✔️20,000 new police ✔️More money for our NHS ✔️More money for every pupil ✔️An Australian style, points-based immigration system

The death of Baghdadi is an important moment in our fight against terror but the battle against the evil of Daesh is not yet over. We will work with our coalition partners to bring an end to the murderous, barbaric activities of Daesh once and for all.

Appalled that Sir Salman Rushdie has been stabbed while exercising a right we should never cease to defend. Right now my thoughts are with his loved ones. We are all hoping he is okay.

Let's get Brexit done!

It’s fantastic that @MHRAgovuk has formally authorised the @pfizer/@BioNTech_Group vaccine for Covid-19. The vaccine will begin to be made available across the UK from next week. (1/2)

Britain and Germany are horrified by Putin’s invasion and have agreed that our two countries must go further to help Ukraine. The UK will send more defensive weapons to Ukraine and will work with G7 partners to target every pillar of the Russian economy to ensure Putin fails.

We have one more day. Make sure you have your voice heard. Vote to honour the promises of the past and for a brighter vision of the future. Vote Conservative tomorrow.

I'm horrified by the escalation of violence in Myanmar and the killing of pro-democracy protesters. We stand with the people of Myanmar in calling for an immediate end to military repression, the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and others, and the restoration of democracy.

I’ve been lost in admiration by the way in which the British public has responded to the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine. From community groups to sports clubs and businesses, everyone in the UK has been united in their support for the Ukrainian people.

I want to say a huge thank you to the parents, carers and guardians of children. Millions of you have coped with the pressures of home schooling and childcare while also doing your day jobs. And by staying at home you are, quite literally, saving lives.

Captain Tom - today, on your 100th birthday, allow me to express the admiration and gratitude of a whole nation for your heroic fundraising mission.

On the 10th anniversary of Margaret Thatcher's death, we remember her as a great leader who transformed our country and the Conservative Party. She enabled people to realise their ambitions and build a better life - that is what Conservatism is all about. #IronLady
