stop telling artists their time isn’t worth money. some artists spend days on the items you think aren’t worth more than $20. ur basically telling artists they shouldn’t value their work/ work for free. not to mention the cost of supplies.. pls think about what ur saying

Reminder to never feel guilty for taking time for yourself. It’s hard to be productive when you’re struggling, so please take some breaks and take care of yourself!
306
i can’t stress the importance of incorporating a hobby into ur daily routine enough, esp if you are a creative that turned your favorite hobby into a career. find another hobby that is strictly for pleasure that you can enjoy on the side. gardening, reading, embroidery.. ANYTHING

There are so many things that go into pricing. Supplies, time, shipping are all things to be considered, but the most important one of all is the design/skill that it takes to make the product. You’re not JUST paying for supplies and time, ur paying for someone’s SKILL.

hey! times are very hard and very stressful right now, so please try not to be too hard on yourself if you’re not as productive as you want to be. it’s okay to indulge and create things for yourself. you don’t have to constantly create to grind for a profit. you can take a break

don’t let the fear of letting your plants die discourage you from getting plants. it’s a learning experience, and most plants are very replaceable. get a plant, and if it dies you’ll know what not to do the next time. or maybe not. idk just get the plant you’ve been wanting

i’m in this phase with art where i want to draw girls but i want to draw fat kirbys but i also want to draw landscapes but i kind of also want to draw pokémon but also want to make very vibrant art but at the same time pastels are speaking to me and in the end i draw nothing

gentle reminder that you do not have to post on social media 6 times a week if you do not want to. forcing yourself to push out content will lead to burnt out, exhaustion, and lower quality of work. please do not feel pressured to post to grow your following if you mentally cant
316
posting on social media every day is not realistic and also just not good for you. take time off from posting. you do not have to constantly post and work to grow your following. you’ll burn out if you do that anyway. take breaks. it’s important

@mosseri Instagram held it's own and didn't need to be a tiktok competitor. The current algorithm is hurting the people who made your app what it is today. Artists shouldn't have to post 5 reels a week and 2 story posts A DAY to be seen on your platform. Worry about IG, not tiktok
319
reposting art is good for the soul. you get to share art you made and are proud of with new people, and you don’t have to stress out about making a new drawing! art doesn’t have an expiration date. repost it!!!!

i’ve been talking ab it a lot but am i the only one that’s completely terrified of how instagram is pushing a very unhealthy relationship w social media by promoting ur content the more you use their site? like little 2 no visibility unless you’re using the app for hours a day?
