December 17th 2009 Rage Against The Machine played a session on @bbc5live - they’d been asked not sing a certain line that literally said they don’t like being told what to do. You can guess the rest…

This morning, Sarah Cracknell and I went to see @laurenlaverne at @BBC6Music - we performed a song together that we haven’t done in as long as either of us can remember. Hope you like it 👇*sound on*

We’ve been here before, haven’t we Piers? The last couple of Charlatans albums were both in the top 10. We headline festivals, we’re doing fine thanks very much. We’re about to go on tour in America, how did it work out for you there our kid? twitter.com/piersmorgan/st…

Nurses are with us when we come into this world and often when we leave it. They punctuate the moments in between with care and compassion - I know who I support when it’s between them and self serving politicians who fill the pockets of themselves and their cronies
30
Worth remembering that the real enemy travels by private jet, not by dinghy.
31
MPs have given themselves a £20,000 pay increase over the last 12 years. A nurse with up to two years experience earns £20,270
32
Lots of Tory MPs coming up with many and varied reasons why they are not standing at the next general election, when there’s only one really. They have been well and truly found out. That’s it, that’s why

It’s the anniversary of the day we lost John Lennon - a friend told me that to mark the occasion they leave a (low energy) light on in the bedroom of his childhood home

Suggesting that we all go and clap on our doorsteps when the first of the PPE fraudsters is jailed
35
Also keep in mind that this was one individual in a terrible state of mind, stealing from a business where he had access to accounts. With the Baroness’s PPE case, multiply the amount by 700 and add in that there were multiple steps involved (plus a subsequent attempted cover up)
36
And we had no other choice than to keep going, to pay back everything we owed. A debt driven by someone defrauding us.
37
Keep in mind this involved just one person - nobody else knew. He did it secretively and without speaking to anyone else about it. Look at how many knew, colluded and benefitted from PPE contracts - with none of them raising the alarm
38
In 1994 @thecharlatans accountant stole £300k from us and had faked our taxes for 7 years. We ended up owing £1.9Million. We didn’t earn money from any of our gigs for the next 10 years. He went to prison. Now let’s see what happens to those PPE fraudsters who stole from us all

Sometimes, in a quiet moment, I think back to Pat and wonder if it was all worthwhile
40
Until artists are paid a percentage of the bar take, we should fight the demands of venues to take a percentage of the merch sales at a gig

ah man, farewell Christine McVie x

Props to Cedric Bixler-Zavala on Instagram

If someone embezzled £5,000 from the benefits system (while not owning a car or a house, never mind a yacht) they would be more than likely be jailed. Kind of guessing that might not happen here (although it 100% should)
45
And now they tell us there is no money to help the most vulnerable among us. We need the same level of forensic investigation into the £37 billion useless track and trace system
46
A baroness, Michelle Mone was paid £29m via convoluted methods to avoid detection after supplying £200m of useless PPE via the fast track system brought in to help MP’s friends. She was only found out after tireless work by @david_conn. Imagine all the cases we don’t know about
47
Elon releasing all the suspended accounts back onto twitter like a supervillain busting everyone out of Gotham State Penitentiary in an unhinged episode of Batman

おめでとう日本 🇯🇵

Got myself a new job. I’ll be working at @PCPCoffee in Liverpool next Thursday (December 1st) from 11am ish. Pay extra and I might even sign your cup. They do amazing work so it’ll be a privilege to help out My coffees probably won’t look as good as theirs 😉
