IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Aviv Kohavi visited the site of yesterday’s terrorist attack in Judea and Samaria, where he conducted a situational assessment.
Our troops continue to pursue the terrorists involved in the attack and promote security and quiet in the area.

A number of armed assailants approached an IDF post near Nablus earlier tonight. After one of the suspects opened fire toward the post, our soldiers responded and neutralized the assailant.
We then evacuated the suspect for medical attention.
No IDF injuries were reported.

SHOOTING ATTACK: Terrorists arrived at the entrance to the city of Arie’l and shot at a security guard in the guard post. The terrorists then fled the scene.
IDF soldiers and ISA forces are currently pursuing the terrorists.

A Palestinian assailant from Nablus attempted to run over Israeli soldiers and civilians standing at a bus station in the Hativa Square, south of Nablus. IDF soldiers thwarted the attack.

During a military exercise in northern Israel, an IDF soldier passed away today after extensive resuscitation efforts. The Military Police have opened an investigation into the matter.
The soldier’s family has been notified & the IDF will continue to support them at this time.
