The military took over. Whoever questioned this was arrested! There have been five rounds of by-elections- Kayunga, Omoro, Soroti, Pallisa/Kisoro and Kasese. All have been handled in a similar way, Byabakama ensuring that Museveni's candidates are declared winners at all costs.

And so 'Uncle Sharif' as our kids call him was today morning yet again violently arrested, beaten up and bundled into a 'drone' van which took him to an unknown destination. For no reason whatsoever, the thugs jumped over the fence and took him away, beating him mercilessly. 4/5

Like many of our supporters, they were eventually forced to plead guilty to the charges of putting on military uniform & released this week. They return to broken families, no jobs, etc. For no crime!

They told us how they were severely tortured, while being asked about the usual questions of what NUP is plotting. I'm glad to see that despite the brutal treatment received in those torture chambers, these comrades are still firm regarding the cause.
