Spent part of today at Luzira Maximum Security prison visiting our comrades who are incarcerated there over different flimsy charges. I started off by visiting Dr. Stella Nyanzi at the women’s prison and I was very glad to find her in very high spirits.

She sends greetings to all comrades in the struggle and encourages all of us to soldier on! I then went to the men’s prison and visited several comrades who are being held on ridiculous charges- including several of them who have been arrested for putting on red berets.

I've seen gross pictures of a young man who was allegedly attacked by unknown people, hit on the head & had his hands nailed! According to a statement released by police, the 21 year old victim is called Kasumba Baker, resident of Kawempe.

The US gov't just announced sanctions against Gen. Kale Kayihura, Uganda's former IGP. Kayihura presided over a violent & brutal police which committed so many atrocities on the people of Uganda. Good news to his victims! Strong message to those who occupy these offices today.
