Today has been the International Press Freedom Day. I STAND IN SOLIDARITY with all the courageous journalists in Uganda who continue to do their work in the midst of untold harassment, intimidation, torture and brutality.

Indeed, this year's day comes at a time when several journalists risk losing their jobs because the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has illegally ordered their media houses to suspend them with immediate effect!

Earlier yesterday, together with colleague artists @kingsaha256, Chaga and @YungmuloUG among others, attended the funeral of Mzee Benedicto Kigonya the father to Mayor Lumbuye of Makindye Saabagabo and Councilor Kasaato, in Kabale Bugonzi in Kalungu District.

We later paid a quick visit to Father Denis Mayanja in Kitovu, an ardent advocate for peace and justice and the author of a soon to be launched revolutionary book titled #PeoplePower.

What can one say? They pass unfair taxes against the poor people and demand that the poor people pay those unfair taxes for them! Last year when we protested against the OTT tax many colleague MPs came out to defend it. What a shame.

Today, I face charges & was jailed over the same protest! Some MPs who earn much more than the common person, think that the poor person should pay that tax for them! How ridiculous! How callous! Comrades, the only thing required for evil to reign is for good people to keep quiet

Over the past days, I have received numerous complaints from friends here & abroad about persons who masquerade as @People_Power_Ug ambassadors to solicit funds in my name & in the name of our struggle. This money never reaches us to perform struggle activities.
