Machete's mother spoke of how his son was badly tortured to a point of bleeding profusely through the nose, one month after his abduction. Matovu Abdul's mother spoke of the pain they have endured all these months without the son who was the sole bread winner for the family.

If only they would allow one demonstration to go on against the impunity and misrule of the regime, they would see how Ugandans in millions show up. But eventually, the people will rise, and the people will win!

The dictatorship is in panic. They've been surprised by the massive enthusiasm and support we've been received with in all parts of the country. They just can't imagine what would happen if they allowed our people to meet in these areas. They are right to be VERY AFRAID!

Last night I asked why UHRC was quick to confirm that @BahatiRemmy's relatives were under arrest, and yet quiet about their illegal detention. How about you call for unconditional release? Failure to charge suspects within 48 hours usually means they're struggling to find charges

They said profanities to her, while kicking her, slapping her and whipping her with wires. The Museveni regime will go down as one of the most criminal regimes. It must simply be stopped. There must be justice to the countless victims of these crimes against humanity.

"They're quite organized in a sense that after clobbering you, they deploy another soldier of your tribe and religion to counsel you and lure you out of the struggle.... I was told that when I'm captured, it's me to suffer, not Bobi Wine or any other NUP leader." Pure criminals!

I wish you a successful reign, comrade Dangote. The challenges ahead may be many but I know that you will have the fortitude to surmount them. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople

With deep shock & profound grief, I learnt of the untimely passing of our sister Barbara Allimadi. She has been a freedom fighter! A true comrade in the struggle for freedom & democracy. My deepest condolences to her family, esp my brother @allimadi & ANT family, @mugishamuntu.

Not just a man who always said what meant & meant what he said, but also one who practiced what he preached. I never agreed with Abiriga & I never will, but I respected your honesty brother. You were so loyal to them but they were never loyal to you. Rest well Honorable.

We demand for her immediate and unconditional release. If she committed any offence, she should have been taken to court within 48 hours and tried in accordance with the law. There must and shall be justice for these crimes against humanity. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners

I highly appreciate our team at Parliament for the job well done.

Today after #agelimitpetition court proceedings in Mbale Lesson: Every person who acts with impunity should know that he/she will stand in the dock alone to account for his/her acts.

Fare thee well @_KennyRogers. Thank you for the music

He is a man of unquestionable integrity with an impeccable record in speaking against injustice, bad governance & the evils that bedevil our society. It gives me great pleasure to see intelligent young Ugandans join this struggle to liberate Uganda from oppression & dictatorship.

I've been asked a couple of times by media & other analysts to comment about the different communications on social media & other platforms about the on-goings in our country, more particularly within the forces of change. Some of those write-ups even indicate me as the author...

I have learnt that a group of people gathered outside CBS radio station earlier today, and heckled Dr. Kizza Besigye as he left the studio. Apparently, most of these people are said to have been chanting the #PeoplePower slogan. This is regrettable.

Very glad to have our comrades out of illegal detention earlier today. I convey gratitude to our legal team for working very hard to secure their release. The struggle shall be won- history is on our side, the people are on our side & GOD is on our side too.

With grave torture cases that have gripped our nation, she has the audacity to say this! That's why Ugandans have no hope of getting justice from such institutions. Why we are resorting to international mechanisms including the ICC to hold Museveni and his enforcers accountable.

A 35 year old dictatorship that has nothing left to offer resorts to repeating the same old promises which they have no ability or willingness to fulfill! twitter.com/DailyMonitor/s…

On learning about the death of the mother to Hon. Yokasi Bihande and mother-in-law to Hon. Winnie Kiiza, we went to commiserate with the family and to attend the burial in Kasese.

For each of our 156 blocked concerts, police lied we didn’t meet some ‘requirements’! On 8th Oct, a police truck delivered this backdated letter, hours before our concert. At the back of the truck were soldiers who immediately surrounded my house to place me under house arrest!

The People Power Movement is issuing this statement on the $491.5M loan extended by the IMF to Uganda. Previously, large sums of borrowed money have been misused or lost through corruption & voter bribery. Accountability & Governance issues require more attention by our partners.

We appreciate the @EUinUG for this statement condemning torture and other violations. We call on the countries within the EU to take more firm action against the regime which uses torture and enforced disappearances for control. A lot has been said, yet the situation gets worse! twitter.com/EUinUG/status/…

Last week, we saw Museveni using young school children to protest. Our advice to him and all security agencies is to also protect other Ugandans as they exercise their inherent right to protest against his criminal regime.
