Transnational drug crime requires transnational solutions, & those solutions took center stage at the 2019 International Forum on Police Cooperation. #Taiwan is working with many #IndoPacific countries to fight drug trafficking, & together we’re creating a safer, healthier world.

Seeing smiles on people’s faces & hope in their eyes is one of the best parts of my job as President. The 2019 @UN @HappinessRpt ranks #Taiwan the happiest in East Asia for two years in a row, & moves us up a spot this year to 25th in the world, a recognition of my team’s efforts

I remember the passing of Nylon Deng 29 years ago. Nylon was a freedom fighter & a helmsman in #Taiwan's road to #democracy.
We have a duty to finish Nylon's work. Through transitional justice we will begin #reconciliation process to further strengthen our young democracy
