Today #Taiwan received a total of 1.72 million doses of the Moderna & AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines. I want to thank all those who played a part in their delivery & encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as you're eligible.

This morning, I visited Air Force units in my home county of Pingtung as they began day 3 of #Taiwan’s Han Kuang military exercises. It was an honour to witness their rigorous training & dedication to protecting our nation’s airspace.

Another 458,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine doses have arrived in #Taiwan, where they will help replenish our vaccine supply. Vaccination is one of our key weapons in this collective fight against the pandemic, so please get vaccinated as soon as possible.

910,000 doses of the BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine arrived in #Taiwan early this morning in another significant boost to our vaccine drive. We are grateful to all those from the public & private sector who have helped us acquire vaccines & protect the health of everyone in Taiwan.

Another 410,400 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have arrived in #Taiwan. These doses, purchased by our government through COVAX, will further bolster Taiwan's ongoing vaccination campaign.

As the Tokyo #Paralympics come to a close, I want to thank all #TeamTaiwan's paralympians for your heroic performances on the international stage. Japan overcame incredible challenges to hold this year's games, giving the world encouragement when we needed it most.
