Every year #Taiwan celebrates LGBT #Pride with an incredible parade. Though this year’s event is being held online due to the pandemic, today is an excellent opportunity to celebrate love in all its forms & reflect on how far we’ve come in building a more inclusive society.

I was invited to visit a special exhibition on children’s rights at the National #HumanRights Museum. The kids' energy & spirit reaffirmed my conviction: My most important task as President is to make every generation of Taiwanese confident about our future & ourselves.
Here we are at the Leshan Radar Station, 2,600 meters above sea level. An essential outpost of the nation’s air defense, this station provides long-range detection & early warning capabilities so we can respond quickly to incursions by foreign aircraft & keep #Taiwan safe.

Today I welcomed Xiao Qing-yang 蕭青陽 & Hsiao Chun-tien 蕭君恬 to the Presidential Office to congratulate them on their #Grammy win. This is the second year in a row that #Taiwanese artists have won for album design & we could not be more proud of their achievements.
I want to thank @NTIO_Taiwan, now #Netherlands Office Taipei, for their beautiful gift of 3,999 tulips to Taiwan, marking both #Woningsdag2020 & our countries’ blossoming friendship.
I love visiting #Jiufen, where the mountains meet the sea in a pretty little town with warm, friendly people & internationally famous scenery. @eballgogogo & I had a lot of fun visiting traditional Old Street, eating local specialties & enjoying our new post-#COVID19 lifestyle.
