“Shokugeki no Sanji” in this week’s Jump seems pretty popular among Japanese fandom. Here is a summary of interviews about this spin-off. Plus, I’d like to share a funny info about Oda that Mayumi Tanaka mentioned in her interview in Jump.😋 (Thanks @mana__ )

Luffy's VA mentioned in the latest Jump interview that Luffy escaping with Crocodile and Ace's death as the most memorable scenes. In 2019, Japanese talent asked Oda if Ace will revive, but he instantly denied. Here is my summary of how Oda considers manga characters' death. 😇

Here is Oda's message for Rurouni Kenshin exhibition that starts this month. The author Watsuki, Oda's mentor, said he should have reduced the number of 10 Swords, an antagonist group. Oda made a similar statement in 2017 that he should have reduced the number of Shichibukai. 😋

Aside from Oda, 14 mangakas sent celebration messages to Watsuki including Kishimoto, Sorachi, Shimabukuro, Obata, Inagaki, Yabuki, Hiroyuki Takei, Yusei Matsui, Shinya Suzuki, Kazuhiro Fujita, Nobuyuki Anzai, Yasuhiro Nightow, Katsunori Matsui and Mikio Ito😋 (Thanks @nilpos)

Oda once said he will change OP story if it coincides with fan theories. But according to TV show today, Oda will never change his plan about "final chapter" even if a fan theory hits the nail on the head. Oda said in 1999 that he had already decided final panel and chapter.👍

Got my copy of official artbook of Rurouni Kenshin Exhibition that started last week. An interview between Oda and Watsuki (Oda’s mentor) is included. Watsuki reveals, shortly after OP started (1997-2000) Oda already decided Zoro would lose his eye. I’ll post my summary later.😇

Here is my first-half summary of the heartwarming interview between Oda and Watsuki in “Rurouni Kenshin Exhibition official artbook” published last week. Other than this summary, they talked about manga technique about how to make good drawings. 😍

According to today's OP anime, the voice actor of Hitetsu and Kouzuki Sukiyaki is the same person, which may mean...😎

It’s Oda’s nice decision that both Kaido and Luffy mentioned “guts” (根性 in Japanese) in chapter 1002, the latter of which sounds funny. Oda loves the word 根性, so it may be a good idea to create a small list about when he used 根性 in OP chapters with official translations👍

Got my ONE PIECE Magazine 11 that will be released tomorrow. Here is my small summary of the magazine. 😊

Here is my summary of spin-off novel "Episode Perona" in OP Magazine 11. 🤠

Luffy's "Red Roc" was originally called "Gigant Red Hawk" in the rough draft, but Oda decided to upgrade it. Editor Iwasaki confirmed Roc is based on a legendary bird. (source: "Shueisha Weekly Playboy" published today)😋

According to the magazine, Oda said, "If I'm allowed to draw 30 pages each week, I'll soon finish submitting them". Editor said Oda spends much time on deciding how to cram his ideas into 17 pages. There are about 10 fonts in OP, all of which are specified by editor, not Oda😉

Some people might not be satisfied with Sanji in the latest chapter. Hirata, Sanji's VA said in OP Premiere show in 2018, "Oda looked me in the eye and said, 'Sanji will have no highlight scenes in the future.' (Hirata has complained about post-timeskip Sanji multiple times😅

The latest Interview of Luffy's VA is interesting. She considers Luffy was crying in his heart despite his smile when Vivi said she can't go with Straw Hats. I wonder what Oda thinks about her interpretation.😉 (source: one-piece.com/news/detail/20…

2 days ago, 9 men got arrested due to poaching 800 kilograms of sea cucumbers. Reportedly their boat was called "Going Merry".😂 (thanks Kamiki-san news.goo.ne.jp/article/toon/n…)  In another news last year, a suspicious guy introduced himself as "Monkey D Luffy" to police officers.😋

There is pun between Kaido's Rag-Naraku and chapter title Naraku. 1) Ragnarok means the end of the world of gods and men in Norse mythology. 2) In Kabuki play, Naraku means an area underneath the stage". It fits Big Mom's situation who falls off from the stage called Onigashima😄
143
Official Viz usually provides excellent translations, but in the latest chapter, they made a mistranslation about Kaido's important line.🤔 It should be translated like,  Kaido: The more precarious the situation is, the more you laugh. "And" the more you laugh, you.... Luffy: ?
144
Kaido is implying if Luffy (or Will of Ds?) laughs more, "something" will happen. For example, "The more you laugh, the stronger Will of Ds will get". Oda is deliberately hiding what Kaido said here. This line is so important that JP fans already enjoy discussing it.😍

I've heard a theory from some people that D is just short for the smiley emoticon (:D) because almost everyone carrying the Will of D dies with a smile on their face.😄
146
Oda (2007): I'm working hard to draw fights with dramatic stories. If I had drawn a pure battle manga, it'd have been easily overwhelmed by Dragon Ball. I had to avoid competing with DB that was so entertaining that I myself was addicted to. (Oda called Toriyama "god" in 2001.😆)
147
Oda: I was super excited when drawing the quarrel between Luffy and Usoop. Their speech easily popped up in my mind one after another.  Luffy's VA: Usopp is a nice character, right? Oda: Yeah, my audience can feel close to Usopp since most characters around him are superhumans.
148
Oda must be glad to hear Luffy won in the poll.😄 1999: Glad Luffy won. I was worried he might get surpassed by Zoro or Shanks.  2012: I participated in Film Z since I wanted to protect Luffy. 2018: Luffy is an ideal kid for me. Oda's email to Sanji's VA: Don't speak ill of Zoro.
149
Sanji taking care of Zoro in chapter 1012 was heartwarming. In Film Gold (2016), Oda advised that the staff should definitely add a scene where Sanji is secretly worried about Zoro, who was going to be executed. On the other hand, Zoro was worried about Sanji in chapter 815☺️

In a TV show called "Seiyuu Park" 2 days ago, Sanji's VA Hirata showed his appreciation that Oda gave him a special curtain for a backstage dressing room. The curtain says, "To Hiroaki Hirata-sama from Eiichiro Oda". 😊
