French embassy in Myanmar used the word “illegitimate military regime” in English and “le régime militaire illégitime” (တရားမဝင် စစ်အုပ်ချုပ်ရေး/တရားမဝင် စစ်ကောင်စီ). They didn’t even use the word “government” (အစိုးရ). Translators should be careful as there are subtle nuances.
