We are saddened to hear the great Leiji Matsumoto passed away last week. Here he is at age 42 in 1980, being interviewed by Reiko Tajima after Galaxy Express 999 was awarded the #1 best anime of 1980, restored in 4K by us. His influence is incalculable & his works shall live on.

About a year ago, we restored a theatrical special that included some special musical performances. One of them was Ichiro Mizuki w/the Captain Harlock OP. It's with a heavy heart we learn of his passing. May he rest in peace. We're glad to see him so young here in 4K quality.

Circus Productions was one of the companies that helped produce the 1986 Mario anime film, but did you know that they added a little easter egg on Mario's shoe in this shot? It was practically an erased detail until we were able to remaster the movie!

It's with a heavy heart we see the legendary Kikuchi Shunsuke leave this world almost 90 years after he entered it. From Doraemon to Dragon Ball, he's composed countless iconic compositions for countless iconic works, and to say the world will miss him is an understatement. RIP.
