An example of how to survive as an artist without selling 1k copies of their albums are PSY, Kassy, KyoungSeo, Lee Mujin, Jessi, even rappers, all of them are very popular with the general public but don't live from sales, they can live perfectly from concerts and endorsements.

Unfortunately ppl who live in the fandom culture and believe that physical sales is everything for all artists are completely wrong, that's something that the companies themselves have been doing and it's annoying because then when they see someone having 50 copies laugh at them.
28
Normalize that all sales don't have to be +100k and that there can be many popular artists (specifically solo artists) that have less than 1k copies and nothing bad happens, they will not stop making music because of that.

Those who complain about MV ads don't know what advertising and marketing is, and this is a big mistake in those haters that use this to discredit the groups they hate.
Paying for ads on YT is the same as in the 20th century artists paid TVs and radios to promote their music.

Now kids fight over who has sold more albums with fewer versions, the fights are becoming more and more embarrassing. 💀
