Mob Psycho 100 III #01
Through tactfully implemented alterations and additions to the source material, Takahiro Hasui brings us a strong premiere that makes it feel like Mob never stopped airing.
Let's break it down!

There are few better ways to kick off a season than with Yuichi Terao firing on all cylinders. His prowess with CG and VFX makes him a perfect fit for this mind-bending setting, and the result is arguably more cinematic than any sequence in the franchise's actual film.
54
Hitomi Kariya's Chainsaw Man ED, for which she handled nearly every aspect of production, features a remarkably cohesive and well-realized aesthetic with unique, unfiltered takes on the designs of the series' main 3. A fantastic first entry for the list of CSM ending sequences.
55
This part of Norimitsu Suzuki's incomprehensible World Heroes Mission sequence has evidently been entirely redone for the home release, and I like the result! Going for pure 1s is definitely one way to improve a janky rotation, and there's added debris/effects everywhere

And this is it, the moment that had me immediately out of my seat. Playing the original OP in the final episode of a series gets me 100% of the time, and it's something I've always wanted to see in Mob. It instantly creates hype, while reminding you of where things began.
58
Miyo Sato's Mob Psycho 100 III ED is here and it's absolutely beautiful
59
I think about this daily

Hiroyuki Yamashita is nearly unmatched when it comes to intricately choreographed close combat.
His sequence from Boruto #217 is still one of my favorite pieces of action animation ever, so I can only hope we'll be similarly blessed with Sunday's #292.

The final eyecatches are yet another celebration of this series and these characters. In fact, ONE himself was actually involved in their production this time and created the original drawings. With the assistance of koya58 and the usual team, they came out great.
63
In that same vein, the walk here is actually a reworked Keiichiro Watanabe cut from 1x1. I'm glad to see it again since it's such a nice walk cycle, but it also serves to tie us back to that first episode in yet another way.
64
Moving back a bit, the scene with Teru nearly being brainwashed is extremely well executed and even steps into horror territory for a moment. Admittedly, I didn't even notice Psycho Helmet standing behind him on my first watch because my brightness was too low. Chilling shot.

Mob Psycho 100 III #02
It's the last self-contained adventure before we get into the meat of the season, and a great one at that. With a nice mix of comedy, action, and slice of life, let's break down what makes this one another Certified Mob Classic.

Tengoku #02
It's rare to see light and darkness utilized like this in anime, but combined with the shift to widescreen and unsettling sound design, it's incredibly effective. This is where Kentaro Waki's photography shines the most, along with Itsuki Tsuchigami's storyboard.
68
oh my goodness gracious
69
With the 3rd MHA film on the horizon, the one thing I can't help but keep wondering is what type of insane shit Yutaka Nakamura is going to cook up this time
70
Each of Akihiro Ota's recent One Piece sequences has drilled his name further into the minds of viewers, and his newest is his most dynamic yet. The reaction to each action really makes this scene, with Queen's stumbling and failed counters selling the overwhelming combo.

Sakuga MAD for the Netflix Castlevania series
Sam Deats and the staff have been putting out some of the most impressive action sequences in recent memory, so I had to show off some of that animation!

Doesn't get much better than Norimitsu Suzuki's animation + using the OP song for a climactic gunfight

Since it was released when the season started, I've been interested in when Exist (the insert song) would be used, and I was not disappointed. For the first time, Mob is completely alone in solving a problem, and completely alone in the city. What an ending, and what an episode.
