To support nurseries at this time, we have decided that they will also be eligible for a business rates holiday for one year from 1 April.
Local authorities will be fully compensated for the cost of this and we are applying the Barnett formula to the additional support. #COVID19

3/ To support lending to small and medium sized businesses, I am extending the new Business Interruption Loan Scheme I announced at the Budget last week, so that rather than loans of £1.2m, it will now provide loans of up to £5m, with no interest due for the first six months.

I strongly welcome allied action taken today to exclude seven Russian banks from SWIFT.

We’re increasing the support for millions more workers through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.
The third grant covering November to January will now be calculated at 80% of average trading profits, up to a maximum of £7,500.

The elected Assembly can pull the brake for changes to EU goods rules that would have significant and lasting effects on everyday lives.
When pulled, the UK government will have a veto.
This gives Northern Ireland a powerful safeguard.

Businesses in England that are closed due to local lockdowns will now be able to claim up to £1500 per property every three weeks.
