Follow @GodsstationSTL , they’re a very talented artist whose account was hacked.

If you hack big artists’ accounts to steal their followers for your crypto/NFTwhateverthefuck because you can’t grow an audience yourself then maybe NFTs are not a good idea after all.

Replacing “I could have done better” with “I’ll do better next time” has been very healthy for me.

You ever posted an art piece you were so proud of then you hated it after it didn’t get the attention you thought it would get? That’s the problem with focusing on likes and followers as a kid (or adult really…), it changes the way you view your work and messes you up.

At 21 my art changes every month bc I’m constantly improving but I still feel held back by my online platforms to keep the same style. if I could have done one thing differently it would be to not start social media accounts at 17. I believe I would have been a better artist.

“I’m 16 and I want to grow a following” I truly don’t recommend that. You don’t want a following at 16 especially as an artist because it will slow your improvement. You spend more time worrying about what gets you likes and followers rather than improving your art.

I like when artists talk about their struggles with art. bc then I see that nearly everyone have the same problems and insecurities. It brings me the best kind of comfort/ confidence when they talk about their issues as a hurdle they need to overcome to improve themselves.
